Chapter 1027: Nightless Day!
The sun rose on Thorr and its nearby cities. There was an electric and festive atmosphere all around the city.
The city looked crowded today as Vurrons from all walks of life thronged into the city to celebrate their founding day.
There was a store that would open its door when the sun would rise, but today there was neither a crowd waiting outside nor did the store open its door.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Even though it was only the beginning of the day, firecrackers had started to go off and make the atmosphere even more electric. Today was the Nightless Day, when Vurrons would celebrate, forgetting about their personal issues. Today was the day solely reserved to thank their primogenitors.
The citizens of Thorr City were more joyful since the ceremony would take place in Thorr City for the first time. Not everyone was aware of the reason for the location change, but those who were were grateful to the store.

The ceremony for the day usually began around six hours after sunrise, but today the situation was different.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtPeople were rushing toward the palace of the Thorrino Family as the ceremony was only an hour away.
"Why is the celebration happening this early?" Some were traveling toward the palace, but some were already there as they traveled during the night.
"Eh! You don't know that." A Thorron exclaimed after hearing the question from the man next to him as if it were public knowledge.
The man who mumbled the question couldn't help but frown when he saw the looking down face of the man next to him. But since he wanted to know the answer, he asked the man to share it.
The man was from Seventeenth Street, so he knew about the event organized by that mysterious store owner, so he informed his neighbor about it. At the same time, he talked in a tone as if he was the brain behind the timing change.
Other people around the two men also heard the response, so they flocked to him and asked the man about the store. Changing the timing of ceremonies that had been going on for years took more than an ordinary force to influence the ruling class.
The man's face froze when people asked him about the store since he also knew nothing about it. He didn't have enough courage to enter the store.
But since his knowledge was certainly better than that of these newbies, he talked about the store owner's massacre and the number of people entering the store.
Time flew by, and an hour passed in the blink of an eye.
The number of people who flocked around the palace exceeded several tens of millions, to say the least. It had become overcrowded, and people were grinding, but yet there was no hint of stopping them.
The location of the ceremony was the garden of the Thorrino Family. It was several hundred miles, and one-third of that area was set aside for the ceremony, which is why there were so many people there.
In that one-third of the area was an altar that was eleven miles wide and one hundred and eight miles tall. It was like a skyscraper in itself, but at the top, there was a flame burning.
The burning flame was the belief of the Vurrons. They believed that as long as the flame burned, the Vurrons would exist. If it were to go out, that would be the end of the Vurrons.
Even though the ceremony was taking place in Thorr City, the man conducting it was Asher.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, a man appeared high in the sky, looking down at everyone.
The next moment, irrespective of cultivation or group, everyone in the crowd kneeled or tried to kneel in the space they could.
The man was none other than Jamie, the King of the Fawkes Kingdom.
Jamie looked at the burning flame at the top of the altar. He frowned when he saw the flame burning with an intensity like never before, but he soon masked it and descended to the platform made specially for him.
A large chair was placed in the center of the platform, with several smaller chairs arranged around it. Jamie stepped forward and sat on it. All of the smaller chairs were quickly filled with various Vurron leaders and the commander of the garrison that would station itself in Thorr City as per the contract between the Vurrons and the Fawkes Kingdom.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAsher soon appeared on the platform and greeted Jamie. After getting permission to start the ceremony, Asher thanked Jamie and then proceeded toward the altar.
Asher then began to climb the altar. His climb was steady but slow as during the climb, he was nothing but an ordinary man. All his strength was locked by him.
Even though Asher had become an ordinary cultivator, his ordinary physical strength was still nothing to scoff at, as in around an hour, he climbed the total distance and reached the top of the altar.
Soon, he found himself in front of the actively burning flame. Asher breathed a sigh of relief and smiled in joy when he saw the intensity of the flame. It was clearly higher than in past ceremonies.
Climbing the altar was only the first step. The second step was to feed the flame with blood.
The next moment, Asher cut his finger, and soon drops of blood continuously fell on the flame, giving it a slight red hue.
Usually, Asher's injury would heal immediately, but this time, it didn't, and blood continuously dropped on the flame.
Asher couldn't stop until the flame had its fill, so he persisted.
Time flew by, and an hour had passed. Asher's face had turned pale, as the flame was still hungry and continuously feeding on his blood.
The flame had now turned completely red, while a bloody aura emanated from it. At the same time, its intensity was growing.
Weakness began to hit Asher as he couldn't use any blood-replenishing item during the ceremony.
The thought that the flame would feed on all of his blood appeared in his heart, chilling him, but soon he calmed down. He didn't care even if he died from the loss of blood; the ceremony must go on.
