Chapter 386 – Fear
Chapter 386: Fear
"So, this is the store that helped you in becoming so stronger?" Xotak asked Trihan, standing a step behind him. They both were currently standing on Kakot's street and were looking at the store.
"Yes, teacher," Trihan answered straight away like a well-behaved student. The tattoo he was most proud of was nowhere to be seen since Xotak had become his teacher now. Having a tattoo of ripping his teacher was crazy for even someone like him, so he removed it right after taking the vow.
Xotak only nodded and then attempted to bypass the clouds obstructing his vision from inside the store.
The next moment, a pressure intense for even someone like him appeared on Xotak, almost forcing him to kneel. Only after he moved his eyes away from the door did the force disappear.
Trihan couldn't help but smile, seeing Xotak in such a situation. He had accepted Xotak as his teacher, but it didn't mean that he respected him. He would never disrespect Xotak, but he would also laugh if something like this happened to him.
Xotak had no time to care about the smile on Trihan's face. Instead, with a grave expression, he looked at the door once more. He didn't try to watch inside the store, so no pressure attacked him this time.
Trihan also stopped smiling, seeing a deep and grave look on Xotak's face. He silently waited, standing one step behind Xotak before entering the store.
Trihan had no idea what Xotak was thinking. "Let's go," Xotak commented, breaking the silence between them.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtXotak then took a stride forward and entered the store. While Trihan followed him, maintaining a distance of one step between them since that was the distance a teacher and student should carry in public.
Even though Trihan had told him about the excessive luxury of Ashamba in the store, Xotak still was taken aback by seeing the hardwood floor as far as he could see.
"Endless space," He muttered, seeing that the space inside the store remained the same and endless, no matter how far he attempted to look.
"You were right. Even I don't know just what race does the store owner belongs to," Xotak commented in surprise while turning around to look at Trihan.
"I know things more than you," Trihan responded straight away.
Xotak didn't refute Trihan, as Trihan was truly more knowledgeable than him.
Xotak belonged to the strongest race of the Primal dimension, and since they had come from the third dimension, they also had more tomes of knowledge than other races. Despite being the son of the leader of the Hygar race, Xotak didn't know much, as he never had any interest in learning history or geography. From his birth, he had only been interested in battle and things related to it.
Suddenly, Xotak's bloodline started trembling, similar to what Trihan had faced when he had looked at the fur on which the store owner was seated.
The feeling disappeared soon after, but it was still uncomfortable for Xotak to sense a danger to his life not only once but twice only in the span of a few minutes.

Aakesh, who was relaxing on his chair with closed eyes, had heard the sound of footsteps and the chatter about his race, but he still didn't open his eyes. he had heard customers murmuring about his race on a regular basis.
A few seconds later, he had to open his eyes as he sensed the approaching of the customer. He opened his eyes and found the duo of one familiar and an unfamiliar figure.
Aakesh couldn't help but take a second glance at the unfamiliar being in the duo. The person had disguised themselves as human not to stand out in the store or street.
It didn't take any effort for Aakesh to see through the disguise and witness the actual appearance of the Hygar. What made Aakesh take a second glance was the Hygar's awakening a part of his Garuda bloodline and totally standing out from other members of its race.
Even when Aakesh had read about the Hygar race, he hadn't found anything of such sort, so it was the first time today when Aakesh witnessed something he didn't know.
He also couldn't help but appreciate the talent of the Hygar for breaking the shackle of its bloodline and do no one had ever done.
"Hello, store owner, this is my teacher Xotak," Trihan stepped out in front after Xotak allowed him and introduced Xotak.
Aakesh expressionlessly nodded in response and looked at the chest of Trihan, where he had previously seen the tattoo.
Trihan's face turned red, seeing the store owner looking at his chest.
"I lost, so he's my lifelong teacher from now on," Trihan blurted out.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Hello, store owner, I am Xotak," Xotak, seeing his flustered new student, had no choice but to step out. He reintroduced himself and extended his hands for a handshake.
"I am Aakesh, the owner of the store," Aakesh expressionlessly introduced himself and ignored the hand.
Xotak awkwardly took back his hands, seeing Aakesh had no intention to do a handshake.
As for flaring up, the thought never appeared in his mind. Without even attempting to scrutinize Aakesh, he could feel trying to harm Aakesh in any way would only result in his downfall.
"Give me a supreme card," Xotak requested after taking a deep breath to erase the awkwardness.
Trihan had already introduced the store products to him, so he didn't need Aakesh to introduce the store products to him.
Xotak then took out a single supreme stone from his pocket space and handed it to Aakesh.
Aakesh took the stone, did the procedure, and a few seconds later, a silver card appeared in his hands. He then handed it to Xotak.
Xotak took the card from Aakesh's hands, took out a drop of blood from his pocket space, put it into the tiny hole, and soon, a dark golden card appeared in his hands.
"I want the Gods & Demons level training area for an Immortal-level weapon," Xotak then stated his primary purpose of coming here today.
Xotak didn't use a weapon, but the training area could still help him get stronger against weapon users. In addition to teaching him how to find weaknesses quickly, the training would also show him how to overcome them.
After Aakesh told him to go ahead, he told Trihan to return and then left for the weapons room.
