Chapter 635: Battle!
Aakesh looked in the direction of the roar and couldn’t help but get surprised after seeing the beast.
The beast coldly looking at Aakesh, had eight legs in total and two heads. One head belonged to the eagle, and the other belonged to the brown-skinned tiger, while all the eight legs were eagle claws. At the same time, two wings large enough to hide the sun relaxed on the creature’s shoulders, with each feather having sharpness equivalent to a sword.
The tiger head had roared while the eagle head was only looking at Aakesh with nothing but unprecedented cruelty and sharpness in its eyes.
The creature belonged to a race called, Hydrikans. It is a race that predominantly lived in the Sacred dimension, with it being one of the top races there.
Aakesh then looked at the weapon in his hands. It was a pistol, once a popular weapon, but nowadays rarely used due to the power difference between it and the sword.
No matter how quick the pistol user and the bullet were, any good swordsman would easily destroy it, so its popularity declined while the sword grew more and more popular.
The pistol he had was automatic with almost three thousand shots per second. Each bullet released from the pistol was powerful enough to create a giant hole in the Void beast’s body and kill them in a single shot. Even so, Aakesh couldn’t help but shake his head disappointedly, the opponent standing in front of Aakesh was one of the creatures he would rather not face when he used a pistol. Hydrikans were not only known for their strengths but also for their extreme agility.
“DING!”
The next moment, the sound of the bell rang in the area, announcing the start of the battle.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“Boom!”
Without giving even a moment to the Hydrikan, Aakesh aimed toward the creature and took his shot. The pistol released an explosion-like sound as it released the bullet.
The Hydrikan dodged the first shot skillfully, but unfortunately for it, its opponent was Aakesh. It was only the first stage, and its agility couldn’t even come close to Aakesh’s.
Aakesh took another shot, successfully anticipating the dodging direction of the Hydrikan. It wasn’t the end, as Aakesh took three more shots, predicting all the five moves the Hydrikan could take to dodge the bullet. If even one prediction turned out to be correct, Aakesh would win.
Aakesh’s second prediction turned out to be correct as the Hydrikan moved slightly to his left, which looked almost impossible for the creature of its stature. But the Hydrikan did it skillfully, considering the open direction to its left. It had only slightly moved, when another bullet came and hit the area right below its tiger head.
It was an instant kill as the Hydrikan’s tiger head exploded straightaway while it crashed to the ground, creating a loud sound.
Suddenly everything around Aakesh froze as a new blue window appeared in front of him. It asked Aakesh if he wanted to repeat the first round or preferred to go ahead to the second level or jump further ahead.
Aakesh chose to go to the second level, and the next moment, the blue window disappeared, and with it, the Hydrikan also disappeared.
Time flew by, and several seconds had passed.
If using a pistol had its disadvantages, it also had its advantages. Aakesh ended the battle quicker than he would have done if he battled with a sword.
Aakesh currently had a blue window floating in front of him. It asked Aakesh whether he wanted to repeat to the seventh round, go back to the previous levels, or jump to the next level and further.
Aakesh chose to go to the eighth level. The next moment, the window disappeared, and the Hydrikan riddled with several large holes also vanished with it.
“ROAR!”
“CRY!”
Soon, a bestial roar and an eagle cry filled with cruelty and anger rang in the area as both Hydrikan’s heads announced their arrival. Its eyes were red since the humiliation of all the seven deaths still stayed with it.
“DING!”
The next moment, the familiar sound of the bell rang in the area, announcing the start of the eighth battle for the day.
The Hydrikan wanted to make its movement first, but unfortunately for it, it was still not as quicker as Aakesh.
“Boom!”
“Boom!”
“Boom!”
The next moment, a continuous stream of explosion-like sound rang on the battlefield as Aakesh released several shots at once.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe Hydrikan skillfully dodged the first bullet by slightly bending its head then the second arrived. Its agility didn’t fail it as the Hydrikan moved slightly right this time, predicting the direction of the next bullet.
Aakesh had shot around a hundred bullets this time, but the Hydrikan dodged all of them. Despite succeeding, the Hydrikan wasn’t happy since it was still Aakesh who held the initiative. The Hydrikan was in a precarious situation as Aakesh already had the pistol aiming at it.
“BOOM!”
This time, Aakesh only shot a single bullet, releasing a sound that could even put shame on actual explosions.
The bullet released from the pistol looked particularly big this time as it flew toward the Hydrikan.
The Hydrikan couldn’t help but shudder as the bullet gave it a feeling of death from which it couldn’t run.
“ROAR!”
The tiger’s head let out an angry roar as it opened its wings, creating a roof of darkness above Aakesh.
With just a slight jump, the Hydrikan flew into the air and reached quite a distance. Unfortunately for it, the bullet turned its direction, responding to the Hydrikan, and flew toward it.
Aakesh didn’t stop as he aimed his pistol toward the Hydrikan in the air and released several shots in quick succession.
The Hydrikan knew it couldn’t run so it decided to fight back.
Its wings started shining as they released a rain of feathers toward the several bullets and Aakesh.
Aakesh didn’t let the feathers hit him and skillfully dodged them since each feather held sharpness equivalent to a sword.
The disadvantage of the pistol showed this time as whenever a feather and bullet clashed, the feather came on the top while the bullet got cut into two clean pieces.
The single shot released by Aakesh was the only one to come on top of the clash as it flew, aiming to kill the Hydrikan.
