Chapter 487: Made up Lie
At the same time, Jennifer had returned to her house.
When she stepped out of the taxi, her eyes caught the sight of the house.
A complicated expression had taken on her face. ‘This fake home..’ she can’t help but feel the bitterness on her lips.
It was useless to think like this since her mind was already going through a lot. But facing the questions of her parents was the last thing she tried to learn for now.
However, with no other option present in her hand right now, Jennifer simply paid for the taxi fare and then stepped inside to open the door with her slight hands.
Making no noise in between, she held her breath down to finally close the door behind her.
Roaming her eyes here and there, Jenifer had immediately decided to pull herself upstairs and back to the room.
.....
Without even getting anyone’s attention was the best way out.
Unfortunately, her luck didn’t pay much to her, since when she had climbed the first step of the stairs, another voice trailed into her ears, “Didn’t you get very late, Jennifer?”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIt was her mother, and the strict tone was not denied.
But holding her strength and biting her lower lip, she had finally turned around, to look at her face while blinking her eyes twice.
“I’m sorry. I was busy..”
“If it was with anyone else, I would not have allowed it, you know.” As Amelia said these words, it made Jenifer raise her head. “With anyone else?”
“I can still give you the pass this time since you were with Lucas. That is better for you to take care of.” As the words made Jennifer’s eyes wide, she had a layer of mist covering them up.
‘How come they know? Who had spread this lie to me?’ It treated her brain, but she didn’t even find the need to raise unnecessary questions on her face.
They will ultimately put her in the worst situation ever.
“I....I..”
“It’s fine, Jennifer. After all, he is going to be your husband. Just make sure that you spend a lot of time with him.” Amelia had boosted her confidence with her words.
As if, Jenfier’s urge to roll her eyes was the peak. But she still had a giant smile.
In return, as Jennifer said that she was going to retard back to her room, her mother had once again dropped another bomb on her head.
“I got a call from Lucas. He had asked me...to send you there. In his company.” suddenly, he wishes to meet her? Jennifer’s brain tracked very fast as her eyes blinked twice.
Initially, she was hesitant about everything going. Why was Lucas so interested in meeting her? and that with him in the office? In the same company where Jack is working.
But to avoid any confusion and the embrasement, she had given Amelia a solid nod to finally get ready to go to Lucas’s company...
.....
Whereas, Olivia is currently working in her cabin.
When she was typing on the laptop as her eyes switched from one file to the laptop screen. And then she heard the knock on her door. “Come in.”
Another lady had entered inside her cabin where she passed Olivia a glance, “Sir wants you to bring the papers to his desk.”
“I guess you are forgetting to mention whom you are referring to as Sir.” Olivia corrected the assistant, who had slipped her tongue.
As if, realizing her own mistake, she slapped herself before correcting, “It is Mr. Jack SMITH. He is asking to deliver the meeting paper before the investors arrive.”
“Alright, I will get it photocopied by myself.” Olivia acknowledged the message and then, she was ready to take the printout.
However, the printing machine wasn’t operating in her cabin.
‘Oh God..this shit.’ and with that no other choice, Olivia had stepped out of her cabin to walk in the direction of the other printing machine present there.
As she had given the command, the prints had started to come out.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmYet when she was staying there, her phone suddenly rang. Gaining her attention, Olivia had picked it up before she looked at the dialer and a thick frown had curved on her head.
Instantly Olivia turned around to take a look at her surroundings, finding that everyone was engaged on their own. The scene made her lungs fill with relief.
But to the phone call, she had simply declined it. Lifting her chin high, her eyes scanned through the prints which came.
RING! RING!
And once again the phone rang to come across the same dialer this time too. As Olivia’s lips were pressed into a straight line, she had taken a deep breath to find her assistant walking nearby.
“Um... I have to go somewhere. I will be back in five minutes. Till then, arrange these papers in order please.” Passing the orders, Olivia rushed outside her office.
With her legs not halting in the middle, she had wiped the sweat off her forehead.
But leaving everything she had managed to come near the entrance and found out that a man was standing near his car.
‘What the hell is he doing here and this too in the broad sunlight?’ It was annoying but she had no interest to let it burn here either
Simply crossing the roads, Olivia walked in the man’s direction before she had pulled the man’s collar to gaze at him with the furry in those eyes.
“Austin! I told you that someone knows about us. Why have you even come here!?” She was annoyed and it frustrated her.
“I’m here to talk. What’s wrong with that?” Austin had brought his hands to remove her hand from his collar.
Leaving his shirt, Olivia stepped back a bit but the annoyance didn’t fade away, “You are well equipped that I’m not interested in meeting you.”
“And that too in everyone’s limelight? Austin, are you going insane and interested in seeing me dead!?”
