Chapter 10 The Omega: Mated To The Four Chapter Ten Every day, the flowers appeared on the porch: four batches of blooms, each more vibrant than the last. Every night, the sounds of paws padding outside my window remindedof the wolves who claimed to be my mates. My tormentors, and bullies.
They didn't give up, no matter how much I ignored them.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtOne evening, as I sat by the window with a book in hand, I saw them in their wolf forms. Elijah, the sleek black wolf, stood closes! to the cabin, his piercing yellow eyes watching the window intently, Isaiah, a regal gray wolf, paced behind him. The Vandabelt twins, with their chestnut-colored fur, lounged nearby, their heads resting on their paws.
I closed the curtain and turned away, trying to block them out.
On the sixth day, I found a passage in The Silver Lineage that sent a shiver down my spine.
"The silver wolf's blood is a beacon, drawing others to them. They are destined to lead, their bonds unbreakable and their power unmatched." I slammed the book shut, my heart racing. Bonds? Power? None of this made sense. I didn't feel powerful-I felt like a mess. And as for bonds... was that what tiedto Elijah, Isaiah, and the Vandabel twins? I didn't want them? That night, I heard soft scratching at the window. It was faint at first almost like the wind, but it grew louder. When I peeked through the curtain, I saw Elijah and one of the twins-Austin, I think-peering up at me.
I froze, unsure of what to do.
"Stormi," Mariah's voice cfrom behind me, startling me. "Do you want to talk to them? I'm sick and tired of them watching the house, it's creepingout" "No," I said quickly, stepping back.

As the week cto an end, I sat on my bed, staring at the flowers piled high on the s piled In the porch. They hadn't stopped their daily routine, and I knew they wouldn't. But I couldn't bring myself to care.
I had bigger things to figure out-like who I was, where I cfrom and why I was still alive when my kind was supposed to be extinct.
Forgiving my mates? Letting them in? That was the furthest thing from my mind. I wasn't ready to forgive, and I didn't think I ever would be.
All I wanted was to unravel the mystery of my life and decide for myself what it meant to be a silver wolf.
