Chapter 49 2/2 The Omega: Mated To The Four Chapter Forty Nine-1 When I stepped through the shimmering portal, I stumbled slightly, my feet landing on soft, damp ground. I blinked against the sudden brightness and looked up to see an awe-inspiring sight: a massive black castle, its spires reaching toward the cloudy sky like jagged talons. The air carried the scent of saltwater, and I realized were standing on an island. Surrounding the castle was a dense, dark forest that seemed to hum with life, its energy both inviting and ominous.

*Stormi!* I turned to see Elijah standing a few feet away, his hand outstretched. I took it gratefully, my legs still shaky from the disorienting experience.

"That was..... something else," I said breathlessly.

Elijah smiled, steadying me. "I know right?" Before I could say anything else, the hole behindshimmered, and Isaiah emerged, followed closely by Alex and Austin. All three of them looked dazed.

"What the hell was that?" Austin asked, brushing dirt off his clothes.

"Magic," Alex replied simply, though his tone was filled with awe.

Eira appeared moments later, stepping gracefully through the shimmering portal as though she'd merely walked through a door. She glanced at us, her expression smug.

"You all made it in one piece. I'm impressed." I glared at her. "You could've warned us it was going to feel like falling into a black hole!" "Where's the fun in that?" Eira teased, "Welcto the Umbral Society's headquarters," she said, a note of pride in her voice. Her robes fluttered slightly in the breeze. She adjusted her cloak and gestured toward the castle. Before anyone could respond, a soft yet commanding voice echoed from the edge of the forest, Emerging from the shadows was a figure dressed in the signature white robe of the Umbral Society witches. Her face was obscured by a delicate veil, and she leaned heavily on an ornate staff carved with intricate symbols. The staff glowed faintly as she moved, her steps slow but purposeful.

Eira's face lit up with recognition and warmth. "Mother," she said, her voice filled with reverence. She strode forward and embraced the veiled woman gently.

The older woman's voice, though soft, carried authority as she spoke. "Eira, it is good to see you again. You've done well bringing her here." She turned her attention to me, and despite the veil, I felt the woman's gaze pierce straight through me. The wonían extended her wrinkled hand, and I hesitated for a moment before taking it.

The touch was unexpectedly warm, comforting even, as though the woman carried the weight of centuries but bore it with grace.

"I don't remember the last tI met your blood," the woman said, her voice tinged with a mix of nostalgia and Iness.

Stormi frowned in confusion. "Your blood?" The woman's grip on her hand tightened slightly as she nodded. "Yes, child. You your lineage, Your line carries the purity of the silver wolf, a legacy both sacred and burdensome." 1/2 Chapter Forty Nine-1 My chest tightened at the woihan's words. The weight of the prophecy, the keystone, and my newfound powers suddenly felt even heavier.

"Come," the woman said, her tone softening." Tonight, we celebrate your arrival with a feast. There is much to prepare, and you will need your strength for what lies ahead." Before I could respond, the woman began walking, her staff tappinghythmically against the ground. I found herself being pulled along, the woman's grip on my hand firm but gentle.

My mates followed closely, their eyes scanning the surroundings with both awe and wariness.

"Eira," Elijah asked hesitantly, breaking the silence, "what exactly is his place?" The veiled woman didn't stop walking as she answered instead. "This is where the Umbral Society's most sacred work is done. A sanctuary, a fortress, and a training ground. Only those deemed worthy may enter, and once here, they are bound by their purpose." "What purpose is that?" Alex asked, his voice cautious.

"To protect the balance between light and shadow," the woman replied simply.

"Here we are," the woman announced as we approached the castle gates.

The towering doors creaked open, revealing a grand courtyard filled with activity. Witches moved about, their robes swirling as they carried supplies, tended to animals, and practiced spells. The energy in the air was palpable, a mix of magic and purpose that sent shivers down Stormi's spine.

Contrary to its ancient and somewhat foreboding exterior, the inside of the castle was alive with energy. Instead of flickering lanterns or torches, as I had imagined, glowing crystals embedded in the walls provided a soft, warm illumination. Witches in robes of varying colors moved purposefully through the halls, scarrying books or trays of potions, others deep in conversation.

As we stepped inside, conversations paused, and heads turned. Witches of all ages stopped in their tracks, openly staring. A group of young witches who had been standing near the entrance whispered among themselves, their wide eyes fixed on us.

I shrank slightly under the attention, but Elijah moved closer to her, his hand brushing against hers in reassurance.

A woman appeared from the end of the hall. She was tall and elegant, with long, raven-black hair streaked with silver. Her robe was deep emerald green, adorned with intricate golden embroidery. Despite the air of authority she carried, her smile was warm and welcoming.

"Welcome," the woman said, her voice smooth and confident. "I am Rowena, overseer of the witches' livelihood here at the Umbral Society headquarters. It's an honor to meet the silver wolf and her companions." Eira stepped forward, bowing slightly to the woman. "Rowena, thank you for receiving us." Rowena's smile widened as she gestured for us to follow her. "Come, etshow you to your quarters. You'll find the accommodations here more than sufficient for your stay, I hope." "We will meet again tonight Silver Wolf" " the veiled woman said.

"Please callStormi", I smiled awkwardly and said.

"Of course my dear", she said and way he'd as we walked away. As we walked, Rowena began speaking about the castle's history.

"This castle is as old as it looks, though it was designed to appear ancient. It was constructed during the First Alliance when the seven high witches and the Alphas of the strongest packs ctogether to form the Umbral Society. That alliance has endured for centuries, despite... complications over the years." I listened intently, my curiosity piqued. "What kind of complications?" Rowena glanced at me, a flicker of something unreadable in her expression. "Power always draws envy, my dear. There have been those who sought to disrupt the balance we've worked so hard to maintain. But you'll learn more of that in due time." As we ascended a spiral staircase, Rowena continued. "The castle has twelve wings, six on each side, and spans twelve stories. Each wing serves a specific purpose-training halls, libraries, laboratories, and living quarters, among others. You'll be staying on the third floor of the west wing." "Why the west wing?" Isaiah asked.

Rowena smiled knowingly. "It's currently under renovation, so you'll be the only ones living there. The young witches here can be... curious. This will give you sprivacy and peace." ne peeked out I noticed as they passed through the hallways that witches continued to pause in their activities to watch the from doorways, others stopped mid-conversation. Their gazes lingered on my mates longer than I was comfortable with.

"They're staring," I muttered under my breath.

Rowena chuckled softly. "Don't mind them. Many of the younger witches in training here don't often see men, let alone four as Striking as your mates. They'll get used to you soon enough." 1/2 Chapter Forty Nine-2

My cheeks flushed, and I glanced at my mates. Austin looked unbothered, even grinning slightly as he caught a group WhisWitches giggling an Alex gavea wink, clearly amused by the attention. Isaiah and Elijah, on the other hand, seemed more focused, their gazes scanning the surroundings as though.

on alert.

When we reached the west wing, Rowena stopped in front of a set of sturdy oak doors. "This floor has been prepared for you, the said, handing each of us a key. "Your rooms are down this hall. Each of you has your own space, but you're free to arrange things as you see fit."

Rowena opened the first door, revealing a spacious room with a large bed, a desk, and the window overlooking the dark forest outside. Everything inside looked new, the furniture polished and the bedding freshly laundered. "This is yours, Stormi," Rowena said, handingthe key.

I stepped inside, running my fingers over the smooth wooden desk and glancing out the window. It felt strange to have such a luxurious space to myself considering I was used to the simplicity of the cabin back home.

"I'll leave you to settle in," Rowena said, nodding to each of us. "Dinner will be served in the main hall. Someone will cto fetch you when it's time." As soon as Rowena left, Alex was the first to break the silence.

"So, Stormi," he began, leaning against the doorfrof my room with a teasing grin. "Since this whole place is new, and I find it hard to sleep in unfamiliar places, how about I crash here with you tonight?" blinked at him, startled by the suggestion.

Austin appeared behind him, raising a hand. "Actually, I was going to ask the sthing. You know, for moral support and all that." "Nice try," Isaiah said, stepping between them and crossing his arms. "You can both share a room. Stormi needs her rest without you two annoying her".

"Oh, con!" Alex protested. "What's the harm? It's not like I snore or anything." "Yeah," Austin chimed in. "And I don't take up much space." Isaiah shot them both a warning look. "You're not staying here. End of discussion. I'll stay with her" I couldn't help but laugh, the tension from earlier easing slightly. "Thanks for the offer, guys, but I think I'll be fine on my own. Besides, you three can keep each other company." Alex sighed tically but gavea playful wink. "Fine, but if you get lonely, you know where to find me." Chapter Comments 1
