Chapter 54 Chapter Fifty Four-1 The arena was massive, an expanse of open space surrounded by high stone walls that hummed faintly with magic. The morning sun barely peeked through the clouds, casting a muted glow over the scene. I stood awkwardly at the center, the uneven texture of the dirt beneath my bare feet adding to my discomfort. The rest of the witches who were watching from the surrounding balconies whispered amongst themselves, their curious gazes fixed on my mates and me.

I tugged at my clothes-or lack thereof and shot a glare at Rowena who stood smugly at the edge of the arena. "When you said everything was prepared, did you forget about clothes?" I asked irritably.

My outfit consisted of a pair of shorts, a sports bra, and open-fingered gloves, which left most of my skin exposed. While practical for training, it didn't do much for my comfort, What made it worse was my mates standing next toin similar attire: shorts and no shirts. Their bare chests gleamed slightly under the morning light muscles rippling with every slight movement.

Rowena raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "I didn't forget anything. It's standard training gear. You'll get used to it." I crossed my arms, glaring at my mates. "Can they at least be given shirts? Or, I don't know, something to cover up?" Elijah smirked faintly, and Isaiah shrugged, nonchalantly. But Alex and Austin grinned like mischievous schoolboys.

Austin flexed his chest, his grin widening. "What's wrong, Stormi? Don't like what you see?" Alex followed suit, playfully striking a pose as though he were a model. "Yeah, Stormi, tell us-are you impressed?" I rolled my eyes and huffed. "No, I'm not," I snapped, though the warmth rising to my cheeks betrayed my words. My wolf stirred inside me, growling softly. Liar, it chided, amused by my attempt to deny what we both felt. Rowena chuckled, shaking her head. "Is it all the attention your mates are getting that's bothering you?" Caught off guard by her question I straightened my spine, my voice curt. "Nope. Couldn't care less." Rowena didn't push further, but the smirk on her face made it clear she wasn't convinced.

Commander Lynne stepped forward. Her presence immediately silenced any lingering whispers from the witches observing above. "Enough stalling," she barked, her tone sharp and commanding. "You're here to train, not to preen for an audience. Let's see what you're made of." She gestured to the track that circled the arena. "We'll start with endurance. I know you're wolves, so you've got natural advantages. But that also means you'll do double the work. Thirty laps around the track. No exceptions." My stomach sank. Thirty laps? The track was enormous, and even with my enhanced stamina as a werewolf, I knew this wasn't going to be easy.

My mates didn't look thrilled either, though they kept their complaints to themselves. I, on the other hand, groaned audibly, "You can't be serious." Lynne's sharp gaze landed on me, makingshrink slightly. "Do I look like I'm joking?" I bit back another groan and lined up with the others. When Lynne gave the signal, we all started running.

The first ten laps weren't so bad. I found a rhythm, my feet pounding steadily against the dirt track. I kept my breaths even, pushing through the mild burn in my legs. But by the fifteenth lap, the strain started to hitharder. My legs felt heavier with each step, and my breathing becmore labored.

1/2 Chapter Fifty Four-1 My mates seemed to fare beller Elijah and Isaiah were in the football team at hso this was no big deal for them at trained as pack border guards-though even Austin, who was normally the most energetic of the group, looked like he was starting to struggle.

By the twentieth lap, My pace had slowed considerably. Sweat dripped down my face, and my muscles screamed in protest. The witches watching from the sidelines whispered amongst themselves, and I could feel their judgmental gazes like pinpricks against my skin.

By the thirtieth lap, I couldn't take another step. I collapsed onto the track, my limbs trembling and my chest heaving as I gasped for air.

"Get up," Lynne barked, her voice slicing through the air like a whip, I shook my head weakly. "I can't," I managed to choke out. "I can't even feel my legs. This track is as big as two football fields" Chapter Comments 2 POST COMMENT NOW 2/2 The Omega: Mated To The Four Chapter Fifty Four-2 Lynne's expression darkened. "You call yourself a Silver Wolf? You're supposed to be the savior of your people, and you can't ever handle a few laps? Pathetic." Elijah stepped forward, his eyes blazing with anger. "Enough," he said, his tone low but dangerous. "She's tired. Let her take a break." Isaiah nodded in agreement, his jaw clenched. "Pushing her to collapse isn't training-it's torture. If Stormi wants to rest then she can." Lynne's gaze flicked to them, unimpressed. "If she can't handle this, she won't survive what's coming. This isn't about comfort; it's about survival." Despite my mates' protests, Lynne didn't let up, and by the end of the day, I felt utterly defeated. My body ached, and my mind was plagued by Lynne's harsh words.

That night, long after everyone else had gone to bed, I found myself unable to sleep. My thoughts swirled with doubts and insecurities, Lynne's voice echoing in my head.

You're supposed to be the savior of your people... pathetic.

I sighed and sat up, running a hand through my hair. The faint light of the runes filtered through my window, casting long shadows across the room.

I slipped out of bed, wincing as my sore muscles protested the movement. My legs still burned from the brutal run, but I pushed through the pain.

During our tour of the castle, I noticed a stone fireplace just outside near the massive garden. It seemed like the perfect place to clear my head.

The walk to the fireplace was slow and agonizing, every step sending sharp jolts of pain through my legs. But when I finally reached it, I paused in surprise to find Alex already there.

He was seated on one of the benches, leaning back slightly, his broad shoulders illuminated by the flickering light of the fire. His eyes, usually sharp with humor or mischief, softened as they lifted to meet hers. For a moment, neither of us spoke.

"Couldn't sleep either?" he asked finally, his voice a low rumble. He patted the space beside him. "Csit." The exhaustion, both physical and emotional, that weighed too heavily onmade it hard to resist his offer. I crossed the small space and lowered myself gingerly onto the bench, my muscles protesting every movement. The fire's warmth wrapped around me. Soothing my aching body, and for the first tall day, I exhaled deeply. "It's been a Tough day huh?" Alex asked, breaking the silence.

She let out a hollow laugh. "You could say that again." Alex turned slightly, his gaze searching her face. "You don't have to push yourself so hard, you know. The guy there to protect you." 'I are always I frowned, staring into the flames. "You heard Lynne. I can't afford to be weak. Everyone's counting on me, Alex.

If I fail..." I shook my head, my voice barely above a whisper. "I-I'm scared," I admitted quietly. "What if I fail? What if I'm not strong enough? Everyone's counting on me, and I don't know if I can do it." 1/2 Chapter Fifty Four-2 Alex reached out, his fingers gently tilting her chin so she would look at him. His eyes were warm and full of reassurance. "Starmi, you'll never fail me. No matter what happens, I believe in you. You're one of the smartest and bravest girls I know* "Oh so you know other girls?", 1 joked.

Alex chuckled and leaned back, staring into the flames. "Remember that presentation you did in middle school? The one about the solar system?" I felt a rush of surprise. "You remember that? It was ages ago!" "Of course! You were the smartest girl in our class," he said, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. "You made everyone else look bad." I blushed, the memory flooding back. "I was just passionate about it "Exactly." he said "What I mean to say Stormi is that if there is anyone that can get this done it's you. You're very special and that is why the goddess chose you" The weight of his words sent warmth all through my chest, thawing the icy fear that had begun to form. Before I could think too much about it, he leaned forward, closing the space between us.

Our lips met softly at first, tentative and warm, like the first rays of sunlight after a long, cold night. I stilled for a moment, a little bit surprised, but then I responded, and his hand moved to cradle my cheek. The kiss deepened, the hesitation melting his tongue and stroking against mine for dominance. I shifted, my knees brushing against his as the kiss becmore fervent. His lips were warm and demanding now, and I fell myself surrendering the heat that coursed throughand settled in between my legs. I was so turned on and seeing his naked torso all throughout the day was a contribution.

"Alex..." I whispered, unsure of what to say.

"You don't have to hold everything in," he said, his hands sliding up my back, leaving a trail of warmth in their wake. "Letbe here for you." Something in his words broke through my walls, and I leaned in again, capturing his lips in another kiss. This time, it wasn't soft or tentative. It was hungry, desperate.

Alex groaned softly against my mouth, his hands tightening on my waist as I pressed closer. I could feel the heat radiating off him, the hard planes of his chest against mine while my hands clung to his neck.

My wolf stirred restlessly, a growl of approval rumbling in the back of my mind. He's ours, it whispered. The kiss deepened further, our breaths mingling as the fire crackled beside us. Alex's hands roamed over my back and sides, his touch gentle yet firm, groundingin the moment. My fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him closer as I lost myself in the warmth of his embrace.

Alex's hands slid lower, gripping my hips as he shifted beneath me. I gasped softly when I felt the unmistakable hardness pressing againstmaking Keat settle in between my legs making my core ache with the need to be filled. I have never had sex with anyone or even been intimate with anyone except my mates and all we've ever done is kiss but I am well aware of how everything is done thanks to late-night erotic reading under the blanket.

His lips trailed away from mine, brushing against my jawline and down to my neck. I shivered at the sensation, my head tilting instinctively to give him better access. His breath was warm against my skin, and when his teeth grazed the sensitive spot just below my ear, a soft whimper escaped my lips.

I felt his hand gently lift the corner of my shirt, exposing my breasts to the cool air. My nipples hardened instantly, the chill heightening my senses. His head dipped, and his warm, moist mouth mouth enveloped one of my breasts. A soft moan escaped my lips as he sucked eagerly, his movements both tender and hungry, like an infant seeking comfort. Each pull of his mouth sent waves of pleasure through me, leavingbreathless and yearning for more. The contrast between the cold air and his heated touch made the moment even more intoxicating, drawingdeeper into him "Stormi," Alex murmured against my neck, his voice rough with restraint. "Do you want this? Do you want to mate with me?" The question sent a rush of heat through me, and for a moment, I didn't know how to respond. My wolf howled its agreement, urgingforward, but the rational part ofhesitated.

I pulled back slightly, my breathing ragged. "I..." I bit my lip, trying to gather my thoughts. "I'm not ready." Alex's hands immediately stilled, and he looked up at me, his eyes filled with understanding. He reached up to cup my face, his thumb brushing gently against my cheek.

"That's okay," he said softly. "We'll wait. As long as you need." 1/2 Chapter Fifty Four-3 The sincerity in his voice made my chest ache, and I leaned forward resting my forehead against bis. The fire crackled around us "Thank you" 1 Whispered, my voice barely audible.
