In the end, | decided to give it a little more time. It was not like my body was ready for much more than a bit of

kissing. Griffin worries about met enough as it is. So it could easily just be him being too careful with me.

When | walked back into our kitchen, everybody was seated at the table with steaming mugs of coffee and big

slices of black forest cakes in front of them. | smiled, seeing how Aunt Suzy had remembered my favorite cake all

these years. Griffin was busy going over the to-do list | made for myself like | suggested he did. He was so

engrossed in it that he didn’t seem to noticecoming back. Not until | told Grandma how good the cake

furniture in there. Just like | wanted, he made a sitting corner, set up with a coffee maker, kettle, and everything

else needed to have a coffee or tea. He had managed to create an office that was both professional and homely.

It was far different from the sleek, modern business style of his office. Not only was this more my style, but as

the Luna and Queen, | would have wolves ctowith problems of a more personal nature.

Conversations that called for a more homely environment to make them feel more comfortable. | smiled at the

fact that he had placed sbookshelves too. Because he knew | would want sbooks in here too. On the

desk was a smaller copy of the picture | had printed out, L wondered if it was the one he found in the woods. The

one with a message written on it in blood. No matter how sweet this was, that would have been too much of an

ugly reminder of the black pages in our story | wanted to forget as soon as possible.
