Chapter 51 Nancy glared at Judson, who was leaning against the doorframe. She was clearly not happy. "Just back off!" She had intended to offer Judson shelter for the night, but he had crossed the line, roughing up Orlando the way he did.
However, Judson pressed forward, barging in and giving Nancy a hard look. A chill seemed to pour off him in waves. Even the air seemed to freeze over.
"Get out. You think I'm truly your wife or something..." Nancy's cold voice trailed off as Judson's strong arms wrapped around her slender waist again, pulling her into a tight embrace before she could react. Judson's familiar scent enveloped her.
"Judson!" Nancy raised her voice in irritation again.

"Blonde homewrecker? You mean Orlando?" She should've been furious, yet somehow, the bottom of her heart found the humor in it. "Orlando isn't a homewrecker." "What's the difference? He's trying to wreck our marriage as the third wheel." Judson's eyes narrowed dangerously, perhaps recalling something. "Babe, he's not good-looking, so you might as well choose me. I'll be good!" Anyone who dared to threaten his marriage with Nancy was a target.
Nancy sighed, feeling overwhelmed. It wasn't about looks. Judson was too domineering, resorting to violence without a proper conversation. She had considered sheltering Judson for the night because he seemed compliant but was far from it.
Nancy frowned, giving Judson a serious look. "Will you behave?" "If it's something you ask of me, I'll listen," Judson assured her, his expression earnest.
"Nancy, I must love you deeply, although I can't remember our past. My heart aches every tI see you." Nancy remained calm, aware that patients could fabricate memories.
"Then let go ofand take ten steps back," she instructed.
"Why?" Judson seemed puzzled, clearly reluctant to release Nancy.
Nancy said, "You said you'd be obedient, right? Then don't question it." Judson pouted, looking at Nancy with puppy-dog eyes, but he complied, letting go and retreating ten steps.
The retreat left him standing outside, barely stable, when Nancy, quick as a flash, shut the door firmly. Judson stood outside, speechless.
Looking at the closed door, Nancy felt relief wash over her.
But then, Judson's voice, filled with suppressed sadness, reached her from the other side. "Nancy, are you giving up onfor that blondie?" "Orlando is my coworker," Nancy paused for seconds before continuing, "Judson, I don't know you. I only arrived in Ardenweald yesterday, and we met by chance." "You're lying. You are my wife!" Judson's voice was a mix of anger and hurt.

Your family is looking for you." "Don't botheranymore. I won't see you again. I'm going to rest now."
Since Judson had such a fine weapon, he was no ordinary person. Nancy didn't want to get involved in whatever trouble surrounded him.
With that thought, she headed upstairs to her room, checking her messages after getting ready for bed. [Winnie Don't worry, Lena. Orlando's only got sbruises. He didn't even need a hospital stay. Get srest, xoxo] Nancy let out a deep breath and sank into her comfy mattress, her mind wandering to Judson, the guy she had pushed away.
He would leave, wouldn't he? Even if he didn't, she wouldn't open the door again. They were strangers, after all. She had done more than enough. As Nancy tried to convince herself to sleep, a sudden rumble of thunder broke the silence.
The night lit up as rain started pouring down in sheets.
Nancy's gaze sharpened, and her fists clenched. Judson was probably still out there.
'Sleep. If I slept, I wouldn't have to think about it anymore.' Nancy thought.
