“If only it were that simple,” Rosalynn said, massaging her temples. “Jacob might have given up hope. He collapsed

at home and suddenly developed multiple organ failure. The doctors said he’s lost the will to live. He’s only being

kept alive by machines.”

“Is this because he’s grieving too much and it’s harming his health?” Orval whispered. “But Mrs. Silverman, isn’t it a

bit much to lay this at Erica’s door? We’re not cruel people, but I’ve recently found out about some of the things

Jacob did to Enca. I’d only say he deserves all this, wouldn’t you? Why should Erica sacrifice her honeymoon with

my uncle to go see him?”

“Whether Erica comes back or not, she needs to know about this, Rosalynn replied “She wouldn’t want Jacob to die

because of her.”

Orval was silent for a moment on the other end

“Tll try and get in touch, I think I have their tour guide’s contact details,
