In his previous life, Aion experimented with many sports. However, he really got into one: boxing. While he couldn't train every day due to his work, he really liked the training days and the feeling of punching the sandbag.
Still, it looked like the red gauntlets had some sort of magic effect, so he wouldn't be able to use them on spars. When they hit things, they could make them burn. While the effect wasn't strong, it was powerful enough to make Aion lose one point of health every five seconds.
"You picked a weird weapon this time… are you aware that it isn't suited for defense and its range is incredibly limited?" Lexus asked.
"Yes, but it looks interesting," Aion said. "There are people who fight barehanded or with weapons like this, right?"
"Calling them people are something that most would hesitate on doing…" Lexus said. "Reaching their levels is almost impossible and trying to fight a much stronger enemy on their same terms is close to insanity… but this might become a good lesson for you."
It looked like his father was thinking that Aion was going to get reckless after the spars… who would feel good about themselves after beating kids? Still, actions speak louder than words, so Aion decided to ignore that.
Aion began to train with the gauntlets and he felt that they were really easy to use. However, just punching the air was kind of boring… that being said, he knew that he couldn't make a sandbag without damaging it with the effects of the gloves. Regardless, while no one was looking, Aion tried Wolf Fang and he frowned at how fast his hands moved and basically hit the same spot in the air from below and above. Still, he could feel the stare of his father on his back.
"He has some crazy senses…" Aion thought.
In any case, now that he knew how the skill worked, Aion just had to practice by himself and try to control his stamina to make it activate without the class. He did that with the spear, but he didn't obtain much result… he got naturally better and more powerful, though.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtFor Lexus who had seen many fighters of many types, seeing Aion practicing like a boxer didn't surprise him. What surprised him was when he changed his posture and added kicks. He knew a bit about Muay Thai, so Aion decided to add those techniques. It might be dangerous to use elbow and knee attacks on monsters when they were trying to eat him, but they should be highly effective on humans.
As for Aion's half brothers, they didn't see anyone or anything fighting like that. Truth to be told, the first time Aion saw a Muai Thai fight, he felt as confused as them since it was a martial art used and developed in wars where the enemies used firearms, so even the most basic attacks could be lethal if they land on a bad spot.
"Do you want to practice together after dinner?" Aion asked to his half brothers..
This time, Aion asked all of them at the same time and they looked at each other. They thought that Aion would understand the message after hearing one time, but they were mistaken. They looked at their father, but even though he heard that, Lexus ignored the question. They could only practice seriously in a month, but it seemed that they could spar without trying to hit each other for real. Still, they ignored Aion.
Things stayed like that for a while and Aion stopped asking them that. However, after two weeks, they saw how much Aion had improved. His movements were a lot more fluid than before. Sometimes, while he was practicing, he moved to the sides, imagining attacks and trying to dodge them and his footsteps made him look like he was sliding on the ground.
At first, his brothers thought that they didn't need to train that much and follow their father's commands absolutely in all senses was enough, but they were starting to having second thoughts about that.

Since he trained the skills quite a bit, Aion leveled up the class more than a few times. Thanks to it, he had some status points to use… However, he wondered if it would be fine to use those points and then win against his half brothers. It would be a lot easier to accomplish that, but he wanted to test the result of his training, so he decided to use them later.
Even after that one month, Henri, Philip, Georges, and Elio didn't try to use other weapons. Sword and shield truly was a balanced way to fight, but again, they were missing the point of training.
Eventually, the day where they were going to spar finally arrived and Lexus noticed that Aion still was sticking to the gauntlets. If anything, his youngest son sure had spirit.
Just like before, the first one spar with him was Georges. During that month, he trained hard to overcome the mistakes he made before, he also watched Aion a few times, so he knew what kind of attack he might use. Still, he got impatient when he saw Aion not moving and with his left fist slightly in front of him and the right fist below and close to his chin. It was a stance that would let him attack and defend insanely fast… his legs were also relaxed enough to let him move to all directions in a single instant… there were no openings…
