The rings charged her weapon with that kind of effect, no wonder Aion felt suspicious about her sudden change of behavior… Kala used that chance to approach and target his neck, but Aion used Force Release to muster all the strength that he had and attack her with a powerful vertical swing.
Due to his messed-up stance, Aion only attacked her with the body of his spear, and she used her daggers to block the attack. Still, Aion's extra power sent her flying for a few dozen of meters away. At least he managed to get one of her knives and store it in his inventory… it came with a cost, though. Aion had used that technique several times already, and the condition of his body worsened thanks to it.
With a single dagger left, Kala found herself in a difficult position. She couldn't say if Aion would fall for the same trick, but it wasn't like she had many other options. She dashed at Aion even faster than before and began to attack.
Against her quick thrusts, Aion's first reaction was to block them, but he forced himself to ignore his nature as he stepped back and dodged them. When she got way too much into the attack, Aion swung her spear at her head, but she lowered her stance and used that to charge even faster than before.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtKala's next attack scratched Aion's left side, it almost poisoned him, but it shocked him. When she went to continue the attack, he reacted instinctively and then created a Firewall between them. When Kala hesitated, Aion made it fly toward her, and Kala protected her face from the flames and then jumped back to escape its reach.
The flames disappeared, and Aion found himself without mana in that class… things got complicated again. While Kala was readying herself to continue the fight, Aion saw the other two fighting their enemies. Sauros was making the enemy swordsman sweat quite a bit while Seris and the whip user were fighting on equal grounds. Aion didn't have to worry about them… he could focus on his own task ahead.
"This is a waste of time… the assassin types won't make me learn anything once their tricks are discovered," Aion thought. "This isn't worth the while… I should finish this."
Kala could feel that Aion's mood changed and that he would try to end that as quickly as possible… she raised her guard but still approached him. Despite his decision, he still was weakened by the poison and tired of fighting for an entire night. Her pride won't allow her to run away from an enemy in that condition. Despite that, she wasn't crazy enough to risk all of her hard work by not using everything in her possession to win. So, he took other rings from her pocket and equipped them.
Aion wanted to say that such a way of fighting would only hinder her growth, but he didn't want to be preachy to those who were older than him in that world.
Aion's breathing was getting rough, and he was sweating a lot more than before. He truly needed to get rid of the poison and rest his body. After all, nullifying the poison was only half of the work. When he stumbled, Kala dashed at him. The rings that she equipped boosted her strength and magic resistance, so she was confident of winning the next trade of blows, and she did it… Aion only used his right arm to hold the spear, so she easily repelled it and thrust her dagger at his heart.
At the last moment, he used his last reserves of energy to block the dagger with his left hand, but in the end, it was pierced by the dagger. Kala smirked, but then she noticed that he was unable to proceed further, and despite her knife piercing his hand, Aion still grabbed her first.
"This is insane, right?" Aion said while his spear changed into a single gauntlet. "It is no surprise, and I thought of this when I recalled the most moronic ninja in the world."
Kala tried to free herself, but Aion's grip was too powerful. He probably will die due to the poison spreading from two points of his body, but she didn't want to go with him. Still, in the end, she was unable to escape from his grasp, and when she tried to protect herself from his punch, her arm broke completely. She didn't have the chance to try again… Aion used Chaotic Punch, and his fist passed through her stomach.

Aion sighed in relief. When he put the extra status points into endurance and resistance, he felt a bit better, but then he quickly turned to the Guardian class and sat on the ground to treat himself… when he calmed down, Aion felt the poison getting weaker… it was the kind of nasty substance that becomes more powerful if the target moves too much or gets too tense.
In any case, it didn't look like Sauros and Seris were going to end their fights soon, the swordsman was quite good at dodging attacks, and the whip user didn't let Seris get inside her range even when she used her powers and improved her speed… Still, the stalemate ended when they noticed the death of their ruler. She was the strongest person in that kingdom, after all. They thought that Aion would soon join their fights and deal with them. Those thoughts were the factors that determined their defeat… they lost their focus.
In the end, the barrier disappeared after ten minutes, and five minutes later, those two defeated their targets. Aion had already disposed of the bodies of his targets and then proceeded to put the other two in his inventory to turn them into death knights later as well.
"Let's get going…" Aion said while feeling like crap.
