The Swordswoman'’s Revenge Story after Rebirth
Chapter 94 Avoid the Confrontation
Just then, Priscilla and the old maid returned.
Finished
Before Priscilla could say a word, she caught sight of the cremation urn. Her face turned pale with shock. She
muttered to herself, “Has Matilda lost her mind? This is Mdm. Langley’s residence, and she actually put a
cremation urn here?”
“Did you deal with those two servants?” Prudence demanded angrily as soon as she saw them.
Before Priscilla could answer, the old maid stepped forward and said indignantly, “How could we? Miss Isolde
Langley claimed those two maids were sent by Mr. Becker, and they seem to have sfighting skills.” Miss
Isolde Langley didn’t allow us to take them away. She even insulted Ms. Sullivan, calling her a shameless
freeloader and implied that you are living off her mother’s money!”
The maid exaggerated Isolde’s exact words, adding fuel to the fire.
Prudence’s eyes rolled back in fury, nearly fainting on the spot.
Priscilla and Nicole rushed to support her, with Nicole rubbing her chest to soothe her. “Grandmother, please
don’t be angry. Isolde just doesn’t know any better.”
“She doesn’t know any better?” Prudence took a deep breath and said coldly, “Then I'll make sure she learns.”
Matilda and Michelle exchanged a glance, secretly pleased. Prudence was never one to go easy, and they were
sure Isolde was in for a rough time.
Prudence glanced at Matilda and ordered, “Why are you just standing there? Throw that urn out!”
Matilda was displeased as such a task should be done by a servant, not her.
Besides, Geoffrey treasured Prunella’s urn and always handled it with care. He wouldn't even let others touch it.
If she threw it out, she would surely be kicked out of the household.
Just then, Priscilla proposed, “Mother, perhaps we should wait until Geoffrey returns and ask if this was his
decision. Isolde wouldn't dare act this boldly.”

Prudence glanced at her and said, “Fine.”
Both she and Priscilla knew that this could never have been Geoffrey's decision.
Complaining about it to Geoffrey wasn’t ideal. After all, managing the household was the duty of the matriarch.
But if she were to ask Geoffrey who did it, she could deliver the complaint subtly, without making it seem
deliberate.
When Geoffrey returned, Prudence immediately summoned him to Blesertin.
The moment he saw Prunella’s urn placed on the table, his expression darkened. Without greeting anyone, he
rushed forward and carefully held it in his arms. Then, he wiped it with his sleeve before turning around and
demanding furiously, “Who put this here?”
Prudence sat in her armchair, her face composed yet commanding. Hearing his question, she replied coolly, “I
assumed it was your arrangement, so | didn’t dare touch it.”

Geoffrey was taken aback. “How could | have arranged that?”
He immediately thought of Isolde, and his eyes filled with fury. “Was it that unruly girl?”

Prudence looked at him, exhaling slowly before speaking in a measured tone. “You agreed when | sent her away
back then. But you brought her back without consulting me. Have you already forgotten what Mr. Tanner said? If
she cback, she'd bring turmoil to this household.“Look at what's happened in just a short time. Her
engagement was broken off, Michelle’s marriage ended in disgrace, and now she dares to move her mother’s urn
as she pleases. What kind of upper-class lady behaves this way?”
Having received prior instructions from Prudence, Matilda stepped forward and echoed, “That's right, Geoffrey.
Earlier, she even had her servants lay hands on Martha. Look at her. Her face is swollen!”
Geoffrey turned to Martha and saw the clear finger marks on her face. The young lady had obviously cried, her
eyes puffy and red, making her look all the more pitiable.
“Uncle Geoffrey,” Martha sniffled, her voice trembling with grievance. “I don’t even know what I did to upset
Isolde so much. She hatesfor no reason. When my mother tried to reason with her, she said our whole family
is just freeloading off Aunt Prunella’s money and that we should act like servants to her!”
Hearing all this, Geoffrey's anger deepened. He assured Prudence and Martha, “Mother, I'll go find her now and
have her apologize to you.”
Prudence replied calmly, “There is no need for an apology. You heard what she said today. It was beyond
disrespectful. If we can avoid seeing her, then we should.”
The implication was clear. She wanted Geoffrey to send Isolde away.
Geoffrey hesitated for a moment and said, “I... I'll go and reprimand her now.”
Prudence’s eyes darkened with disappointment. “Go ahead. She's your daughter. Handle her as you see fit.”
Without responding to it, Geoffrey turned and left, clutching Prunella’s urn tightly.
Matilda seethed with jealousy as she thought, He treats a dead woman and her urn as if they were the most
precious things in the world.
Instead of heading straight for Isolde, Geoffrey put Prunella’s cremation urn back. He carefully wiped down the
urn with a cloth and water until not a speck of dust remained. Only then did he reluctantly place it back in its
original spot. He stood in silence for a long tbefore finally leaving.
As he stepped out of the room, his expression hardened. He turned to Harlan and said coldly, “To the Pearl
Tower!”
From a distance, Noelle spotted Geoffrey approaching angrily. She hurried forward to greet him. “Mr. Langley.”
“Summon Miss Langley!” Geoffrey barked.
Noelle bowed and said, “Mr. Langley, Miss Langley has gone to the church.”
“What is she doing in the church?” Geoffrey's face tensed.
Noelle replied, “Miss Langley said tomorrow is Mrs. Langley’s birthday, so she went to pray for her.”
Geoffrey froze and suddenly remembered the next day was Prunella’s birthday.

Chapter 94 Avoid the Confrontation
For all these years, he had never once forgotten her birth and death anniversaries.

But with everything that had happened lately, he had somehow let it slip his mind.
Without another word, he turned on his heel. Every year, on Prunella’s birthday and death anniversary, he would
visit her grave with her favorite flowers. But this year, He hadn't made any preparations yet. If he didn’t act
quickly, it would be too late.
He had already forgotten his purpose for coming to the Pearl Tower. All he could think about was his late wife.
Following behind, Harlan smiled slightly and gave Noelle a thumbs-up.
Noelle stuck out her tongue playfully before hurrying back inside to shut the door.
“Miss Langley, Mr. Langley has left,” Noelle said.
Isolde remained seated calmly. Moments ago, she had secretly watched Geoffrey leave through the window.
He had arrived in a rage. Isolde wasn’t afraid of a direct clash, but that would only play into Prudence’s hands.
Naturally, she had chosen to avoid the confrontation.
“Miss Langley, why did you place Mrs. Langley’s urn in Blesertin Hall?” Hazel asked in confusion.
Isolde narrowed her eyes and said in a low voice, “I wanted them all to see it clearly that the woman in that urn
has supported them for years and is worthy of their reverence.”
“Aren’t you afraid Mdm. Langley might really throw it out?” Noelle asked.
Isolde replied. “Would she dare? If she did, Hattie was ready to catch it. | sent her to wait on the rooftop of
Blesertin Hall just in case. No one will disrespect my mother while I'm here. But if they actually had the audacity
to toss it out, then they can prepare for an all-out war with me.”
Noelle smiled and said, “No wonder | didn't see Hattie earlier. So she was on standby over there.”
