It was now early in the morning and the hospital was silent. Rosalind had stayed with Kevin until now.

She was so sleepy that she couldn’t help falling asleep.

Rosalind felt a little cold because the air conditioner temperature was set so low. But she was too

sleepy to get up and turn it off.

As she was half asleep, she suddenly felt a warmth on her back. She subconsciously wrapped the

covers around her a little tighter.

However, she seemed to notice something, and then she woke up abruptly, looked around, and

happened to see Leonardo’s tender eyes

“What are you doing here?”

They used to love each other very much, but after what happened recently, the love between them was

gone. All that remained was indifference and vigilance.

Leonardo lowered his voice and glanced at Kevin in the dim light for fear of waking him up.

Since Maria came back, she and Leonardo had had a lot of problems. What was more, Maria caused

Rosalind hated Leonardo more than Maria. She hated Leonardo for having such a crazy mother, hated

him for not having kept an eye on her, and hated him for not stopping her evil deeds in time.

Moreover, she hated herself for sparing Maria for Leonardo’s sake.

Otherwise, Damian would have come after Maria since she did such cruel things to her and Kevin.

Leonardo reached out to hold Rosalind’s hand, looking sad and panick

Rosalind shook off Leonardo’s hand. She moved so suddenly that she hit the bundle of the bed.

Hearing the noise, Kevin in bed frowned slightly and moved restlessly with his eyes closed.

Rosalind was startled. She patted Kevin on his back to comfort him gently until he fell into a deep sleep

again.

Seeing Rosalind do this gently and fluently, Leonardo felt himself so stu pid.

He should have found out earlier. Rosalind always took good care of Kevin and Yanna and even lived

with them. She had cared for them more than an aunt would care for her nephews.

He should have guessed that Yanna and Kevin were her kids. However, he went so far as to believe

Rosalind’s lie that they were Damian’s kids.

Damian couldn’t have such lovely kids.

Looking back now, he realized that the two kids looked very much like Rosalind, especially Yanna, who

even looked exactly the same as Rosalud. Since Leonardo had always assumed that they were

Damian’s kids, and since Damian and Rosalind were siblings, he had never suspected the true

identities of Yanna and Kevin.

Now he realized that he was too st upid.

After Rosalind calmed Kevin down, she pulled Leonardo out of the ward for fear that he would wake

her son up again. Rosalind let go of Leonardo and asked him to leave after they came to the corridor.

“Aren’t you here for me? See, Im not dead. So you can leave.”

Before Rosalud finished her words, Lenguarda covered her mouth with his land.

“Don’t say that word again. Never”

Leonardo felt a sharp pain in his heart when he heard the word “dead”. He couldn’t let Rosalind leave

“Stop pretending, Leonardo. I won’t forgive you no matter what you do,”

Rosalind was so angry. She couldn’t believe that Leonardo would use such a dirty trick to beg for

forgiveness at this time.

“Get up, or I’ll throw you to the ground and just leave”

Seeing Leonardo leaning against her without moving, Rosalind was puzzled. “Is he ill or is he just

playing another trick?” she thought.
