The WealthTap System: Rising from Rags to Riches
Chapter 80 Here It Comes Again...
Chris took out his 4-seater WMB, while Max sat near him and the sisters sat on the rear seats.
Cathy saw that Chris was adamant about driving the car himself, so she quickly extended the seatbelt and tightly wrapped it around herself and Cassie for extra safety.
However, she was worried for no reason as Chris drove professionally, at an even speed, weaving his way through the traffic and yet not letting the passengers feel any discomfort, maybe even Alex couldn't drive it so well!
With some time passing, she got comfortable in the car, looking out of the windows, witnessing many tall skyscrapers and buildings pass her vision as their car kept driving forward to the biggest mall in the city, Phoenix Citadel.
Constructed from exquisite cream-colored marble, this awe-inspiring building exudes an air of regal sophistication, captivating the discerning gentry who grace this esteemed mall with their presence.
And Chris's cohort was among one of them, trodding into the mall with a faint smile.
"So, brother! Which movie tickets did you book?!" Cassie inquired excitedly, skipping on the white smooth tiles of this renowned mall.
The interior was a sight to behold with tall arched windows, bathing the mall in warm light while huge pillars supported the regal building upon them.
Countless worldwide brands have stalls and showrooms inside the mall, so much so that even Cathy's cold heart wavered seeing some beautiful dresses, accessories, and products. Still, the poor girl controlled her desires as she continued to walk with a straight face.
But Cathy might have managed to curb her desires, however, Cassie was still young, and there was no way she was capable of such a feat. Which resulted in Chris buying her some snacks and a purse she liked very much.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Brother! Thank you!" Cassie hugged Chris as she adores a glossy red colored handbag in her arms, "Sister! Are you sure you don't want one as well? We can get a matching one!"
"No, I like my current one." Cathy averted her eyes, looking at the black-colored leather purse in her arms.
"Oh come on Cathy, that looks so old. I will buy you one if you want." Max snickered.
"Who wants a gift from you, bastard? Keep it to yourself." Cathy glared hatefully at Max.
"Pfft, you can say that you want one, you know." Chris chuckled at Cathy's actions and stroked her hair, asking the staff to get one more of the purses that Cassie had chosen.
Since it was a branded piece, they both were quite costly, even after reducing the discount of buying them in a set.
"Oh honey, can't you buy me this black purse?" suddenly a loud sensual voice echoed in the showroom, instantly attracting Chris and the rest's attention.
They swung their heads around, locking eyes with a clingy couple that seemed to be stuck to each other's bodies. The shameless bastards had zero issues with showing their affection publically.
The man had blazing orange hair and a beard while the female was a seductive woman with the body of a succubus. She was dressed in a short skirt and crop top, and her glamorous hourglass figure was a sight to behold.
However, what attracted Chris's attention was not the hot seductive chick, it was the suave young man that she was with. After all, his strong aura and blazing orange hair were hard to miss.
He was Taylor, one of the students of Stark University Chris had met at Mariana Beach. They didn't talk much at that time, hell, Taylor didn't even bother to greet Chris at that time. Yet, fate brought them face to face again.
'This is that elitist bastard who was with Ralph at that time.' Chris's eyes locked with Taylor's, both seemed to be in a deadlock until the seductive chick intervened.
"Taylor~ you aren't listening to me? Can I have this handbag please?" the seductive chick gave puppy eyes to Taylor, holding a very expensive luxurious handbag in her hands.
Just by a look, it was obvious that the handbag was no small thing. It was as black as the darkest midnight while its surface was glossy and shiny, adored with many gems and golden polish.
It clearly was overkill for a handbag, alas, the rich second generation absolutely loved to flaunt their wealth around.
Taylor heard his girlfriend's request, his eyes automatically glancing at the handbags in Cathy and Cassie's hands and then looking back at the purse in his girlfriend's hands.
'And here it comes sigh, I am bored by this repetitiveness already. It's fucking obvious now, he will scoff loudly, buy her the costly purse while demeaning and trying to lower my reputation. So cliche.' Chris rolled his eyes in his mind, fully ready to hear the same repetitive confident shit.
However, it seemed the sun rose from the West today, the expected didn't happen at all!!!
"This one? What's so great about this one? The stupid little toys embedded or the plating of gold?" Taylor suddenly said, "Come on Alia, I made you my girlfriend because I thought you had some good sense of luxury and style. But, I guess I was wrong." his words suddenly dropped a bombshell on everyone in the store.
"W-What are you talking about, babe…" the seductive chick whose name was Alia murmured in shock.
"I meant what I said. I remember that day you came to propose to me. You looked so elegant in that long black gown that I agreed to your affection." Taylor continued with a strange look of nostalgia in his eyes, "However all you do now is dress around like a whore and flaunt your newly acquired wealth."
'Whoa… no way he said that…' Chris's eyes widened in shock. Did he misunderstand this elitist bastard?
At first glance, he seemed like a cliche, arrogant, rich second generation who only knew how to look down on others and throw their weight around.
However, the reality now seemed completely different than what he expected. Chris must agree that Taylor was still an arrogant bastard, but he seemed to have a strange sense of elegance and standard in himself.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"H-How can you say that Tay… you said you liked this, that's why I changed for you… but now you call me a whore?" Alia asked pitifully.
"When did I say I like this? I said I like your attitude, not the dressing sense. Dressing in such short clothes and showing off your skin doesn't suit a noble lady like you." Taylor continued mercilessly, "And as for the choices, you think every little thing with some added gems and gold can be considered a 'luxury'?
No, luxuries don't always need to be magnanimous and over the top like this. Decency is the key to elegance. Always." Taylor sneered.
Alia looked up at him, her eyes a bit teary while a tinge of doubt clouded her charming pair of eyes.
Seeing the doubt, Taylor pointed at the handbag in Cassie's hands, "Look at that and tell me what you think?"
"It… It is just a cheap piece of this brand, there is nothing too special about it." Alia bit her lips and answered.
"Wrong. I agree that it is a cheap piece, hell, it is one of the cheapest pieces here. Yet it looks great in her arms. Why?" not expecting a reply, Taylor continued, "That is because it is truly 'decent'. That little girl had personally chosen that one out of all the available ones, it may partially be because of the price tag, but that's not all. It was because it suited her."
'Such details… this bastard is much more talkative and cheesier than I expected.' Chris thought with a weird look in his eyes.
"Tay, I am not understanding what you mean. However, if you don't like me to buy this one, I won't. You don't like my clothes? I will change them too. I am sorry, Tay." Alia murmured with teary eyes, her mascara getting slightly smudged.
"Yes, good." Taylor smiled, "I will buy you any product you want from here, go ahead."
"Since you liked that one, I will buy that one too." Alia drooped her ears and pointed at the red handbag in Cassie's hands.
"I just liked the simplicity of it. We don't need to buy a cheap piece like that." Taylor scoffed and patted Alia's back.
"Uhh, sir… so, should I pack these two?" Chris was pulled out of his thoughts as the cashier asked him.
"Yes. Do it." Chris nodded calmly, he was not a multi millionaire like Taylor yet, he couldn't afford to waste tens and hundreds of thousand dollars on a handbag.
