Thrown Into A New World: Let The Punishment Begin!
Chapter 126 - A Special BondChapter 126 - A Special Bond
Captain Desmo Reel pulled the reins of his Precious to urge her to rush along as his heart thumped against his chest.
The image of that large monstrous horse with its forelegs raised in the air as its body lifted high up in the air was flashing before his eyes.
The little figure that was standing before the horse made him flustered as one misstep would mean that she would be crushed under its powerful legs.
'What is she trying to do!? Getting so close to that monster!' He snarled at the senseless child who was making things hard for him.
'Ford will not hesitate to chop me into pieces if something happens to his child!' He panicked as he rushed along.
His Precious was running at full speed to shorten the distance between them.
The horse neighed as she approached the other horse but soon slowed down when she saw the difference in their sizes.
Precious was a purebred mare who was bred from the finest lineage of horses available in Amarthea yet even she was flustered when she came closer to the other horse.
Captain Desmo was more worried about the child that he had not bothered to notice the changes in the demeanor of his Precious.
"Child!" He yelled out when he saw her fallen on the ground.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHis heart seemed to stop beating when he saw Yvonne fallen flat on the grass with the horse dangerously close to her.
Though he was in a panic he was glad that his nose had not caught any hints of blood around her presence.
'She doesn't seem to be injured…' He surmised but frowned when he saw no movements from her.
The horse who had been staring at Yvonne looked up at Desmo when he had stopped Precious upon arriving close enough to where they had been.
The man's eyes narrowed when he finally observed the rare features of this horse.
The horse stared down at the man and beast who stood frozen in place.
Yvonne's slight movement as she laid on the ground made the horse look down at her.
'You startled me, you ass!' She growled at the horse who was watching her intently.
As though it had understood that Yvonne had just cussed, it neighed out loud making Precious whimper as she took a step back in fear.
Captain Desmo who had been inching closer to Yvonne too froze when he saw that he was at the center of the huge beast's attention.
"Come here!" He growled at the child who had raised her head and was alternating her gaze between the two positions.
'When did he arrive?' She wondered and tilted her head in confusion.
Back when the loud noise had emerged from the stable, both she and the horse before her had been startled.
This caused the bewildered beast to act according to instinct as it raised high, standing on its hind legs.
It was obvious to expect what would happen next, Yvonne who was the closest to the horse had been frightened by the horse's actions and fell to the ground.
'Looks like my luck isn't all that good!' She lamented as for the first time ever, no one had come to rescue her from her fall.
When her butt collided against the green grass, she laid still with the horse still raised above in the air.
Like an epiphany occurring before her eyes, she gazed upon the horse who stood on its two hind legs with the sun right behind it.
The shadow that cast over her was like a divine sign that showed her that this horse right here was the one for her.
'Mine!' She claimed as she laid right in the same place.
Only when she had heard that loud scream commanding her to come over did she realize that Captain Desmo had come over.
Now, as she sat upon the grass, she looked into the eyes of the horse who continued to gaze at her.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Wanna be mine?" She requested with a cheeky grin as she once again tried to touch the horse.
Desmo's eyes widened when he saw the horse and the child locking eyes.
It appeared as though the time around them had stood still with only these two existing as the surroundings faded away to nothingness.
"My Demon…" She whispered when the horse stayed still allowing her to touch him.
The moment their skin came in contact with each other, the horse closed its eyes and when it opened them up again, the face of the only person before those crimson eyes was imprinted onto those glowing eyes.
Captain Desmo was stunned when he saw that the huge beast did not attempt to escape her touch but instead had nudged closer.
'That's…' He gulped in anxiety as he knew what had just happened before his eyes.
Looking down at his Precious, he caressed her head and smiled because the same had happened when he had met his Precious for the first time.
'The moment a beast accepts its master is a special bond in this Kingdom and rarely such an incident occurs.' He speculated on the stories that he had heard from his parents.
Rosenhyde was under the divine protection of Lord Asmodeus who often took the form of a bird, hence they had a special reverence for animals in the land.
The fact that Yvonne had been able to make this special connection with a beast and much more, one of that stature and build made Desmo Reel have a surreal feeling.
"My Demon." Yvonne's mild voice reached his ears which made him look up and smile as he took in the sight before him.
The horse shook his head upon hearing the name that she had called him.
"My Demon!" She reiterated with a firm voice which made the horse whimper before it reluctantly nodded its head, accepting the name that it had been bestowed by its master.
Yvonne chuckled upon seeing this reluctant behavior but did not bother to change the name that she had given this magnificent beast.
