Chapter 41: The First Chapter
“…Come again?”
Aruga asked with the body made from corpses of his follower. His voice had the power to make anyone cower before its might.
“You dare put yourself against the mighty god?”
“Stop joking,” Dohyuk scoffed, “The word god doesn’t fit you.”
Dohyuk had heard the truth from Kyuho already. Other than the sole almighty ‘God Casita’, the other gods were just survivors of trials. These were beasts that were only just a bit stronger and had lived longer.
“And weren’t you weakest?”
“…!”
“I heard that you’re the weakest out of all those stupid gods.”
He tried to speak further, but his voice was unheard as Aruga screamed. The fury of the god spread throughout the city.
“HOW DARE YOU!!!!”
Aruga knew that becoming a ‘god’ was a present given by Casita to the strongest who finished the trial. That’s how gods were born. But the strength came from the number of followers, and the pure strength of the original body. Aruga had many followers, but he and his world were not strong enough. His world was the weakest of all in Casita’s System. Aruga always knew this fact, and he always wanted to hide it.
But he was now being mocked by some weak mortal.
“DIE!”
Dohyuk waited. Then, he shot up instantly, barely dodging the ray of light that struck where he was previously standing. It was the beginning.
“I WILL BURN YOU ALIVE!”
The ray continued to attack Dohyuk. Its power was strong enough to turn anybody into dust within seconds.
“BURN, YOU FOOL!”
Rays of light burst down from the skies and the pyramid was now crumbling. Dohyuk could barely manage to dodge every attack. At this rate, it was only a matter of time when a ray would eventually get Dohyuk. However, he clearly saw that Aruga’s body growing smaller.
Dohyuk knew from experience that these gods had limits as to how much and long they could use their power in this world. What he needed to do now was to outlast him.
Dohyuk opened his status.

He then opened the wallet to buy some of ‘Stamina’ points.
“…”

-Coins: 110420
-Faith: 431
There was a new currency in his wallet. Was it related to the unknown message window that popped up just before he got into the fight?
-Faith: 467
The number was increasing by second, but Dohyuk didn’t have time to think about it.

Dohyuk then focused on dodging the attack. However, he had other things in mind. He had to find his ‘friends’.
“Kyaaa!”
That’s when he heard Heeyun’s scream. Dohyuk stopped to look for a slight second and it was too late. The ray of light was now coming down at him. But there he was, Kyuho, pushing Dohyuk out from the light.
“Dohyuk,” he said as he smiled.
“This will do.”
“…!”
Dohyuk would have shouted. He almost did in fact.
Only if it wasn’t for someone he was holding in his front to block the light.
It was Heeyun.
“LET ME GO! LEMME GO, YOU SICK BASTARD!”
Heeyun was trying her best to fight Kyuho off who was holding her by the neck from behind. Then the ray of light struck.
“See?”
Nothing happened. Heeyun was unhurt.
“I mean, I was talking to her… I think her Nature gives her immunity against the ‘light’ element.”
Another ray of light struck them.
“Oh, but I doubt it can absorb anything.”
Another.
“But this should do.”
[Man of the Green]
The Man of the Green was a Nature that allowed the user to photosynthesize the light source into mana. Knowing that however, it would not allow a person in the right mind to try it out against the light that was burning through everything.
“I told her to try it out, but she was just too hesitant. Come on, Heeyun. You’ve been doing well. Why are you being so stuck up in the end?”
More light struck them but Kyuho ‘waved’ Heeyun around to fend them all off with ease. Of course, Heeyun wasn’t hurt. Soon, the light stopped as Aruga realized it wasn’t working.
Kyuho then let go of her.
Heeyun coughed.
“But honestly-”
Kyuho then grabbed Dohyuk and Heeyun’s wrists and spoke.
“I suggest we run from this place.”
“Run?”
“This is ‘his’ city,” Kyuho stated. “Even if we beat that bastard, the city is full of his followers. He can group them all up and try again, with even more bodies this time.”
They would have no chance against such an act.
“I’ve never seen that god get that angry, you know.”
“…”
“Anyway, I’m sure we can run. You, me, and… ‘our’ Heeyun are full of energy so we have a good chance.”
Heeyun then turned with teary eyes to object, but coughed again. Dohyuk then turned to Aruga who was now moving. With the rays of light shooting at himself, he was moving his giant body.
Kyuho was probably right in his judgment.
“You two can run.”
“What?”
“Dohyuk!”
Both of them were shocked. Dohyuk wasn’t sure, but he had confidence. Maybe it was because of this:
-Faith: 721
He did not know how to use it, but it somehow gave him a feeling that it was worth fighting for.
“Go.”
“…”
Two of them usually would not agree to such a suggestion, but they couldn’t object.
“Heeyun.”
“Uh.. yes.”
“Let me ask for a favor from you.”
Dohyuk said a few words and went downstairs. He clenched his dual swords with both hands.

-Physical Damage: 190 ~ 290
Aruga was increasing his physical damage as he absorbed the pure energy of the sun. After checking the amount, Aruga scoffed.
“Fool.”
“…We’ll see.”Dohyuk jumped. Suddenly, shiny rocks began shooting out of the ground next to Dohyuk. It was Heeyun’s attack as she was using the light energy she absorbed a while ago.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmGiant rocks reached up to Aruga, but he effortlessly destroyed them. However, their purpose wasn’t to attack Aruga. On top of the longest and highest rock, was Dohyuk who was running.
Even with his smaller size, Aruga was still 5 meters tall.
-Help me get up.
That’s what Dohyuk asked, but Aruga scoffed.
“BURN!”
He ordered his ‘Godly Item’ that Dohyuk was holding onto. As ordered, the item began to burn.
“You dare-”
And Aruga crushed the rock Dohyuk was on.
“Try to attack with my own weapon?!”
Rocks tumbled down, but Dohyuk wasn’t there. He had jumped high up into the sky already.
“What…”
Dohyuk was in so much pain with the heat coming from the weapon. But he was moving.
-Faith: 1218
Maybe it was because of that mysterious currency. Was it the energy sent by those people looking up to him from the ground littered with debris? Or-

>
Dohyuk, a nameless God.
Aruga was the God of the Sun. This was because Aruga was known for his ‘light’ element magic that utilized the sun. War, Slaughter, Blood, Fire… all these symbols were those that the gods themselves utilized to rise to the top.
But the power that was just utilized was different from violence.

Dohyuk held his sword and swung it at Aruga. It should have betrayed its maker, but now it was doing the impossible. It was cutting the flesh of Aruga’s fist vertically. Dohyuk then got to his destination.
“DIE.”
“…!”
And the body was decapitated.

Genesis was like history. It was the history of ‘gods’ and how they achieved greatness. This was recorded in the god’s stats that affected their power and fame. As such, most gods had similar records of mostly their own slaughter.
Dohyuk, who wrote the first chapter “after” he had achieved the greatness, was different.

And Dohyuk did not see any of these as his burnt body dropped along with Aruga’s head.
