Chapter 208 Macro sauntered over to the liquor cabinet, poured himself a glass of red wine, and took a sip. Just then, Sebastian emerged from the lounge. Macro immediately choked on his drink.
Sebastian shot him an annoyed glance, his brow furrowed. "What? What's gotten into you?" Macro patted his chest, still coughing. "Man, that's way too quick," he managed to say.
Sebastian just stood there, at a loss for words.
Elliot, who was working on his laptop nearby, heard the commotion. He quickly gathered his things and slipped into another lounge. He'd learned the hard way that it was best to keep a safe distance from Macro. This way, he could stay out of trouble.
Macro noticed Elliot's hasty retreat and realized he'd spoken out of turn. "I didn't mean it like that," he tried to explain.
When he'd walked by the lounge earlier, he'd heard their conversation and quickly ran away. But he hadn't expected Sebastian to cout before he could even finish his drink.
Sebastian stepped closer, his voice low. "Do you have any more of that medicine?" Macro looked puzzled.
Sebastian sighed, "It seems to hurt badly there." He'd been checking on her earlier, and she'd been crying non- stop. He hadn't meant to hurt her so much.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtMacro's eyes widened in realization-now he knew what they were doing in the lounge. But this is shocking as well.
Before he could say anything else, Sebastian gave him a warning look. Macro quickly shut his mouth and went to the medicine cabinet, grabbing a couple more bottles. He handed them to Sebastian. "Use these with the ones I gave you before." Sebastian took the medicine and turned to leave, but Macro called out again. “Wait. I know you're in a hurry, but-" He didn't get to finish. Sebastian turned back and gave him a cold stare. Macro quickly clamped his mouth shut. "What I meant was, girls are fragile. You should at least wait until she's fully recovered." Sebastian gave him one last cold look and walked away without another word.
Once Macro was alone, he picked up his wine glass and drained it in one go. He clicked his tongue and muttered to himself, "And Richard thinks he can compete?" Sebastian had already doted on Stephanie so much. There was no way Richard could take her away.
Just thinking about how close Richard had cto taking Stephanie made Sebastian look like he could tear Richard apart. If it hadn't been for Macro stepping in and threatening Richard, things could have ended very badly.
In the lounge, Sebastian gently pulled Stephanie out from under the covers. She struggled, crying out, “No, I don't want to." "This is for your health. What's there to fuss about?" Sebastian coaxed, trying to keep his voice gentle.
But Stephanie was still resistant. It was embarrassing enough to have an injury in that area. Now Sebastian wanted to help her apply the medicine, and she felt like she had no privacy left. “I can do it myself," she insisted.
"You-" Sebastian started, but she cut him off.
"No, I don't want to!" Stephanie cried out in a panic, her voice so loud that Macro, who was savoring a glass of red wine outside, almost dropped his glass in shock.
1/3 09:42 Fri, 21 Mar D Chapter 208 ***** (+53) After another few hours of flying, Stephanie was utterly exhausted. She fell into a deep sleep on the plane, and for once, .Sebastian didn't wake her.
Instead, he quietly reapplied the medicine to her wounds while she slept. She could feel his gentle touch, but she was too tired to even open her eyes, let alone protest.
"Sir, it's tto wake Ms. Giovanni," Elliot said. The plane had landed an hour ago, and Stephanie still hadn't emerged from the lounge. Their meeting was fast approaching.
Sebastian glanced at his watch, then nodded and got up. He walked toward the lounge, his footsteps quiet. Inside, Stephanie was still fast asleep, her face relaxed in slumber.
"Stefi," Sebastian whispered softly, his voice gentle and low. She stirred a little, murmuring something incoherent, then turned over, burrowing deeper into the cushions.
With a sigh of resignation, he fetched her clothes and then lifted her off the bed to wake her up.
She groaned, her voice thick with sleep. "What's going on? Are we there yet?" "Your phone's been ringing non-stop, and we need to get off the plane." He picked up her clothes and began dressing her gently, aware of how different the weather would be between Long Harbor and Keris Isle.
Stephanie let him guide her, still half-asleep. It wasn't until she was fully dressed that she finally felt more awake. She heard the persistent buzzing of her phone and answered without checking the number. “Hello?" "Stefi, it's me." Allison's voice cthrough the phone.
Stephanie's eyes snapped open, her mind instantly alert. "Allison? How did you get this number?" "You sent it to me," Allison replied, her tone gentle but firm.
Ever since Sebastian had changed her phone, Stephanie had been trying to distance herself from the Hart family. Only a handful of people knew this number. "Oh, right. So, what's up?" Allison said, "I've been in Long Harbor for six hours now." Stephanie raised an eyebrow. "And?" "Catlin Hart has been waiting outside my place, demanding to see me. She won't leave." Stephanie sighed inwardly. 'Catlin went to wait for Allison after finding out she's back? She's relentless, especially when it comes to Olivia. Even after all the Amber caused, Catlin still has the nerve to show up at Allison's door.

"Huh?" Allison sounded puzzled.
"Give her shope," Stephanie added.
Allison's eyes widened in shock. 'Give Olivia hope? Isn't that just setting her up for more despair?' She thought back to the medical reports she had seen before leaving Long Harbor. From her years of experience in medicine, she knew Olivia's condition was dire.
Without surgery and proper treatment, there was no way she m would last six months. And now, with neither N place, there was nothing to hope for. To give her hope only to dash it later would be even crueler. 2/3 Chapter 208 Allison suddenly understood Stephanie's true intention, saying. "You want her to suffer both physically and causally "When someone sees no hope, it's easy to give up, Stephanie replied.
Allison nodded slowly. "Okay, I get it. I'll make sure Olivia doesn't take the easy way out"
Back then, when Olivia had tried to kill Stephanie, her methods had been ruthless. The car crash was put the beginning Se had even planned to tamper with Stephanie's medical treatment at the hospital. If not for Allison and Tessa's quick funking, Stephanie might not have survived. Allison shuddered at the thought. If anything had happened to Stephanie, given her identity as the Lacano family's golden girl, Sebastian would have torn the entire city apart in his fury.
"I'm heading to the Hart residence now. How about we have dinner together tonight?" Allison suggested, her voice hopeful Stephanie glanced at Sebastian, feeling the lingering discomfort in her body. She really didn't feel like going anywhere today. "Let's make it tomorrow," she said softly.
"Okay," Allison agreed, her voice understanding After hanging up, Sebastian scooped Stephanie into his arms, his face softening into a tender smile. "Good girl, take care of yourself."
"With how much this hurts, I definitely can't go out," Stephanie murmured, resting her head against his chest.
She dietist cabout being praised or not, she just wanted to be comfortable And for once, she didn't protest as Sebastian carried her off the plane. Instead, she nestled closer, finding solace in his embrace.
