Chapter 30 Stephanie was this close to sneaking away She thought she'd explained everything about Chris to Sebastian earlier, but now, feeling the cold tension around him, she realized-maybe not enough.
She stepped up to Chris, glaring: "What do you want? Get lost, now." Chris didn't move but sneered. "If I hadn't come. I'd never know you're this kind of person." His voice rose with each word. "You made my affair with Olivia public to cover your own mess, right? You're disgusting" Before he could say more, there was a loud thud-Sebastian's fist slammed into his face, knocking him back.
The air was full of tension.
Chris was furious. He convinced that Sebastian was just sunrefined nobody, and that only pushed him further into rage.
Before Stephanie could even blink, the two men were on the floor, tangled up in a fight.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtChris may have spent his days in business offices, but even if he worked out, he was no match for Sebastian- who lived on the edge, always ready for anything.
In just a couple of moves, Sebastian had him pinned down on the couch.
Chris looked a mess, clothes all askew, but Sebastian? His towel was still perfectly in place.
Stephanie couldn't help but glance at it-honestly, she was more concerned about his towel slipping off than the fight itself.
"Stephanie!" Chris shouted, his voice filled with fury.
He couldn't believe it-he never expected her to be alone at hwith a guy, and worse, she had just stood there, doing nothing while he was getting beaten.
His anger was bubbling over. Unable to take a swing at Sebastian, he turned it all on her. "How dare you- "Hold on" Stephanie cut him off. She was not in the mood of dealing him. She grabbed a jacket and tossed it to Sebastian, "Sebastian, put this on." Sebastian didn't even flinch as he let go of Chris and slipped on the jacket, his cold eyes still locked on Chris.
Not a single ounce of warmth in his expression. The tension between them was still thick, like the calm before a storm "Chris, you need to leave now. I mean it." Stephanie turned to Chris, "We don't want this to get any worse." But Chris didn't budge. He was already fuming, and now he was seeing red. How dare she tellto leave instead of the other way around? I'm the one who's been insulted here, he thought, fury boiling inside him.
"Who do you think you are?" he fumbled. "You are just nobody but—” "Say another word, and I swear you won't leave here in one piece. Sebastian's voice was low and dangerous, cutting through the tension.
And just to drive the point home, he pulled out a sleek black pistol from inside his suit jacket, the cold barrel poirited directly at Chris.
"What the...?" Chris barely managed to move his lips, but only a few words cout. The sight of the pistol froze him in his 1/2 76% +13) Chapter 30 tracks.
He never imagined someone would carry a gun around in Long Harbor and point it at others like that. His breath caught, and his eyes widened in shock.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmWas Stephanie out of her mind? What kind of dangerous man had she gotten involved with? He couldn't help but think.
Sebastian, still holding the gun, didn't even blink. "Want to test me?" The message to Chris was clear: Keep running his mouth about Stephanie, and see how it ends.
Sebastian knew that growing up in Fiorenza, no one would ever dare speak to Stephanie like this.
But here? He couldn't help but scoff. These people were a joke.
He narrowed his eyes and locked them on Chris, looking ready to shoot without hesitation if Chris made another move.
Chris had never found himself in a situation like this in Long Harbor He intongH tried to meet Sebastian's gaze, but uncertainty clouded his eyes. "What if I say yes?" he asked. "You really going to shoot me?" Sebastian raised an eyebrow. "Want to find out?"
Chris opened his mouth, but before he could say anything Stephanie cut him off. "Are you serious, Chris? This isn't funny."
Stephanie was at her breaking point.
Despite everything, she didn't want Chris dead He was a pain, sure, but they didn't have any deep grudges. "Just get out, will you?" she snapped, frustration clear in her voice. "Stay any longer, and you might not see the sun of tomorrow." 2/2 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLliIofifl0&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1
