Chapter 470 Blind and Stupid
Antwan crossed his arms and leaned lazily against the door of the conference room, waiting for Shirley
to come out.
"Shirley, you hid well enough. Once again, you amazed me!”
He watched Shirley walk over slowly from afar. His beautiful lips unconsciously curved up as he asked
with an insincere smile.
"This is the direction that I studied in my university subjects. I never hid it. It's just that you don't
understand me well enough."
With the document in her hand, Shirley tidied her hair. She looked very attractive.
Shirley was both beautiful and talented, but she always kept a low profile. Once she buried herself in
work, she would display remarkable working abilities.
"Right. I have never understood you, neither did Braden. He isn't a good husband because he doesn't
understand you at all. He deserves to be slapped in the face by you."
Antwan had just watched the live broadcast outside the Round Table Conference room. He couldn't
help but be impressed by Shirley's charm.
When he saw that Braden had been defeated, he felt an unprecedented joy. It was as if he had joined
in and slapped Braden in the face.
"Stop gloating here. He wasn't slapped by me. Instead, I almost lost my face."
Shirley let out a long sigh. For the first time, she was overwhelmed by such a strong feeling of being a
loser. It was even worse than the betrayal of Braden four years ago!
Four years ago, she had only been a good-for-nothing rich lady. It was understandable that Braden
didn't want her.
Now, she was strong enough and could even save Braden, but he still wasn't willing to accept her,

"Antwan, tell me the truth. Am I that disappointing? Why does he give up on me again and again?”
Shirley looked up, her voice a little choked up. She had never doubted herself so much.
Antwan's cynical expression changed a little. He whispered, "It's not that you are disappointing. He is
just blind. Don't deny yourself."
"It's impossible. Even if he is blind, he won't go against money. A normal person will choose KCL
Group, not the Gilmore family, right?"
"He is blind and stupid."
"No!"
Shirley said with a confident tone, "He might be blind, but he is not a stupid person..."
"Well, maybe he loves Alina. Alas, don't think so much!"
Antwan obviously did not want Shirley to dwell on this question. He pulled her out of the hotel and said
excitedly, ’We've won a great victory and should celebrate. How about barbecuing?"
"All right."
Shirley replied perfunctorily.
She was absent-minded all the way, immersed in her own world.
She seemed to have fallen into a dead end. No matter which way she took, she couldn't walk out of it.
Antwan took her to a very famous barbecue restaurant nearby. The vegetables and meat were fresh
and cheap, so many consumers dropped by-
"Elisa Draper, two seats for barbecue."
Antwan greeted Elisa. It was obvious that he often came here.
"Alas, Antwan, when did you come back? It's been a long time since you visited us. Philip Forth missed
you very much."
Elisa wore an apron and was very busy preparing the food. When she saw Antwan, she immediately
became spirited and shouted, "Hubby, come out quickly. Antwan is here."
"What? Is Antwan here? That's great! Tonight, I will have a good drink with Antwan."
A middle-aged man ran out of the kitchen and reached out his oily hand to hold Antwan. He couldn't
help but smile.
"Haha, I won't drink today. I want to have a good meal with my friend to make her happy."
Antwan said warmly to the couple.
"Hey, this is..."
Elisa and Philip looked at Shirley and then at Antwan. They immediately smiled and said, "Antwan, you
finally found your true love. We are so happy.
"Miss, you are so beautiful. No wonder you can win Antwan's heart. You are the only person brought
here by Antwan. Our restaurant is Antwan's secret base. He always said that barbecue could solve all
of his problems. I hope you will be happy after eating our barbecue today!"
Antwan had always been flippant and outgoing, but at this moment, he showed the shyness of a young
man. He waved to Elisa and her husband and said, "Hey, you guys, stop gossiping. Go and prepare the
food!"
Antwan and Shirley sat by the window. Shirley was still depressed. She held her chin with her hands
and her eyes were gloomy.
"Alright, Shirley. Don't be sad. You've won a big victory today. Let's have a drink first."
Antwan opened two bottles of beer and filled them up for himself and Shirley. Then, he knocked on the
woman's bottle.
"I'm not sad. I just can't figure it out..."
Shirley drank a mouthful of beer with no interest. She frowned and said, "I still cant figure out why
Braden changed so easily. He would rather bet on the future of the Stewart Group to choose Alina."
Antwan's handsome face turned cold. "What's there to be confused about? I have already told you. It's
true love."
"If it was true love, shouldn't they have been together a long time ago? It wouldn't have dragged on

don’t know anything about it."
"So what then?"
Antwan sneered, ‘No matter how many difficulties he has, he still chose to hurt you. He doesn't deserve
your forgiveness.'
"Then what if he meant to protect me?"
Shirley hit the nail on the head.
Antwan didn't know what to say.
He chose to remain silent.
"See, I guessed it right. He chose to hurt me in order to protect me!"
Shirley's voice was excited. She finally cheered up. She asked Antwan tentatively, "You must know
something. Can you tell me?"
"I don't know anything. Don't ask me."
Antwan was unhappy and immersed himself in the food.
The mutton slices that Elisa served were thin and tender. They were easily cooked.
Antwan was very agitated, but there was nothing that could be resolved by a barbecue.
If he was still unhappy after eating barbecue, then he would continue to order another!
"Antwan, don't just focus on eating. You must know something. Can you tell me?"
Shirley grabbed the man's hand and begged bitterly.
Antwan stared at Shirley's hand and remained silent for a long time. Then, he said, "That's right. I do
know everything."
Moreover, he plotted it. Everything was under his control.
"Really? Tell me, tell me!"
Shirley said excitedly.
"I can tell you, but you have to promise me one thing..."
Antwan revealed a demonic smile.
