Clara, hearing Lemira's response, kicked the table in frustration. She had hoped Lemira would be swayed by the supervisor, but Lemira was unyielding.

Staring at her phone, Clara realized she'd have to apologize to use it again. The thought was more painful than killing herself! Lemira, however, was calm. Having been dead once, she wasn't scared. Why should she apologize for being wronged? Yet, Lemira couldn't shake off something odd about Susanna being taken away today, but she couldn't put her finger on it.

Given Susanna's family ties, it wouldn't be surprising if the Sinclairs smoothed things over.

Lemira checked her phone for news about Susanna's bullying scandal om leading to a student's suicide, - most finding most reports scrubbed clean.

Clearly, someone was pulling strings behind the scenes.
