Sherilyn was surprised, but not too surprised.
In the age of reality TV dominance, it seemed like every star worth their salt had been on sshow or another. It was the new rite of passage to fame.
This was a dance reality show, and Caroline joining made perfect sense.
Sherilyn remembered Caroline had taken dance classes before.
But by the tshe started, she was already a bit too old for sof the basics, which ideally needed to be ingrained from childhood. Her body simply wasn't up for the challenge anymore, and she eventually had to give it up.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtOne of the show's producers glanced at the list and made a special note, "This Caroline, she's with Nexus Media Group, under the Johnson Group umbrella. She's quite the sensation right now. Ms. Sherilyn, please take good care of her." So the production team was particularly interested in her? "Sure thing." Sherilyn nodded, no fuss about it.
She was there to do her job and treat everyone in her group equally, regardless of what the producers might want. She couldn't, and wouldn't, play favorites.
"Ms. Sherilyn, once you're all set, your group will be complete. How about we meet this afternoon?" "Sounds good." Sherilyn didn't mind; it was a workday, after all.
Her group's assistant quickly got in touch with the stars, setting up a meeting at the TV station that afternoon to discuss their first performance.
Sherilyn stayed over lunch, grabbing a box lunch with sof the crew.
By the afternoon, the artists started showing up.
Her group had six people in total, and it was anyone's guess how many would make it to the end.
Sherilyn waited in the small conference room, Caroline being the last to arrive.
"Sorry, I'm late." Caroline cin, shedding her puffy winter coat and handing it off to her assistant, apologizing profusely.
Obviously, since she was the biggest deal there and had the most support, nobody was about to kick up a stink.
"No worries." "We just got here too..." Caroline smiled, glancing up to see Sherilyn at the head of the table. "Sherilyn?" The assistant perked up. "You two know each other?" Caroline flicked her hair, winking at Sherilyn. "We go way back, grew up together." Sherilyn silently scoffed. Who needed enemies with friends like that? "That's great!" The assistant took it at face value.
"Ms. Sherilyn's leading this groumet O being so close, et you two got a clear shot to the finals Caroline grinned. "I'm relying on you, Sherilyn." "Sure thing." Sherilyn nodded, her smile barely there.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe rest of the stars exchanged looks. It seemed Caroline was and they'd just have for themselves.
Sherilyn got down to business. "Let's all sit down. For our first performance, the producers want a group number..." Of course, there'd be a few solo moments sprinkled throughout.
"I need to know what you've got. Any dance background, or sports, perhaps?" Pointing to the person on the far end, she added, "Let's go around, starting with you." "Alright, Ms. Sherilyn..."
After hearing everyone out, Sherilyn concluded, "Looks like we've all got hit the studio, showwhat you've got."dance experience. Let's t "Sure thing." "Okay." After a busy afternoon, Sherilyn had a clear plan.
"I'll draft sideas and share them in the group chat. We can vote on the performance piece. "OK." "Sounds good!" With that settled, the meeting wrapped up.
Sherilyn was staying at the TV station for the tbeing, given a key to her dressing room by the production team. Stepping out, she bumped into Caroline at the main entrance.
