Jodie looked back as the car entered the tunnel, but the man’s face vanished in the darkness.

All she could see was his hand on his knee, repeatedly flicking a lighter.

It was a silver lighter without any decorative patterns. It wasn’t a famous brand, nor did it have any design flair.
