Chapter 890 The End of Their Road 6 The Faldorian National Symphony Orchestra was even invited to perform for the wedding ceremony. When the bride stepped onto the runway, the song "Time" was played and reverberated throughout the entire event hall.
This was the song that Emelie had picked out. It might not have exactly been festive, but it represented a memory that she shared with William.
Back in high school, Emelie happened to pass by the practice room and heard someone playing "Time". She didn't know it was William, and she even praised him for his piano skills internally.
Emelie started walking as the music played. The hem of her gown swayed gently as she moved. She looked like a tender ray of moonlight that lit every corner of the event hall. A smile graced her face, and her eyes were sparkling like starlight.
All the party guests simultaneously focused their gaze on her. She was the life of the party right now, and nothing else could pull the attention away from her.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAs she slowly moved forward, the guests gave her a round of applause.
At first, William was waiting for Emelie at the end of the runway. However, he disregarded the emcee's attempts to stop him and directly walked toward his bride when he saw her taking a few steps.
Emelie had approached William every tyears ago. Three years later, he was the one who approached her every time. From here on out, he would take the initiative and approach her with speed, certainty, and fearlessness. That also includes their wedding tonight.
"There, there," William softly called out to Emelie and held her by the arm.
She looked at him with a smile and hummmed softly. Then, she walked over to the emcee to take an oath with William.
A man with brown eyes was standing in a remote corner of the event hall, staring at the runway calmly.
The groom and the bride were in the middle of their wedding oaths. "...in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, and thereto I pledge thee my faith." The groom put the wedding ring on for the bride while the party guests applauded them. It was an Eros too. Tears streamed down Emelie's cheeks as she hugged William.
"Number one." Wesley suddenly heard a voice from behind him. He turned around and looked over, only to see Samuel flashing him a slight smile.
He asked in a puzzled tone, "What are you talking about?" Samuel took two glasses of cocktails and handed one to Wesley. "You're disqualified groom number one..." Then, he tapped his chest with the remaining class. "...and I'm disqualified groom number two." Wesley sighed and took the glass. He sipped the cocktail and said, "Are you regretting letting them have their happy ending?" Samuel had long changed out of the groomsman suit and wore a modest light-gray suit instead. "I could ask you the sthing." Wesley merely looked at the stage in response. Samuel stood next to him for a brief moment before he answered the earlier question.
"I don't regret it." His eyes were laced with warmth and gentleness.
He continued, "That's because I've always wanted nothing but happiness for Emelie the whole time. From the moment I know her, I've never seen her genuinely happy. She was either worried about Greta's heart issue, or the feuds between the Hoven family and Pierce family.
"Emelie was also killing herself over her relationship with William and you. It's exhausting, looking at her. That's why if she has chosen William and thought marrying him was the right choice, then I will get out of her way. Instead, I'll support her and give her my blessing." Wesley might not have responded, but he kept his ears peeled.

The ceremony on the runway ended with the groom and the bride kissing each other. Then, they went off-stage together to get changed into another outfit. It was only then that Wesley tore his gaze away.
Samuel added, "Now, your turn." Wesley asked, "What do you mean?" Samuel raised his eyebrow. "I told you my thoughts and sentiments. Now, it's your turn. Do you regret it? Do you mourn losing her?
"You've prepared yourself for the whole world's condemnation by o'm marrying your very own younger ΟΙ sister. However, you gave up at the eleventh hour. Don't you have a more complicated feeling than I do?"
Wesley was perfectly calm. It didn't matter how lively the party was, it was, th could do nothing toxile him up. "You might like revealing your feelings to someone else, but that's not how I roll." Samuel was confused. He was amused by how Wesley didn't react the way most people did.
"How could you be this unreasonable?" he said. Given the event they were in, shouldn't they bear their souls to each other?
Wesley chuckled, but he didn't say anything. He finished his cocktail and returned the glass! to Samuel. Then, he patted Samuel on the shoulder and turned around to leave. Samuel asked, "Aren't you going to wait until the ceremony is over?" Wesley stopped in his tracks. He pulled out a small box from his suit pocket and opened it. He took a look at it and closed it again.
Then, he walked back toward Samuel and gave him the box. "Give this to on my behalf."
