Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband-Novel
Chapter 1046 - I Was Not A Saint...Chapter 1046 - I Was Not A Saint...
Lu Lian felt uncomfortable seeing Ming Rusheng there. Seeing the women with him, the two understood it was not a usual meeting.
Ming Rusheng saw them too. He was surprised as he didn’t expect Wen Zac and Lu Lian to be there in his hotel.
Acting normal, Ming Rusheng went to them. Wen Zac stood up, "Finally, you showed up. Where were you? I have been trying to contact you since morning."
"Was just busy," Ming Rusheng replied as his sight crossed across Lu Lian, who stood up to greet him as he was her boss.
Wen Zac looked at the lady with Ming Rusheng and bowed lightly to greet her, to which she smiled back.
Wen Zac looked at Ming Rusheng with a meaningful gaze which Ming Rusheng understood and replied, "Grandpa." novelenglish.net . Fɪre.net
Wen Zac understood what he meant, and Ming Rusheng spoke, "See you."
Ming Rusheng left with a woman with him and sat on the table reserved for them. There was one table between the two couples which was not occupied, and all the tables were at a distance so that one couldn’t be a bother to others.
Ming Rusheng pulled the chair for the lady with him and sat in his chair. From where he could see his friend and side view of Lu Lian while she couldn’t see him.
Seeing Ming Rusheng, Lu Lian turned silent and felt relieved that she couldn’t see him.
Seeing her silent, Wen Zac asked, "Are you fine?"
She nodded, "Mr. Wen..."

She nodded, "Were you close to my brother?"
"Well, I can say that. Though I was out of China for a long time, whenever we met in the USA, we had a blast and shared the things," Wen Zac replied.
"What did he talk about?" Lu Lian asked.
Wen Zac was the person that could tell her the things about her brother that she didn’t know, and for a moment, she wished to believe her brother was still with her. Talking about her brother, she forgot about other things.
Wen Zac could see she liked to talk about her brother and how happy she felt. At least they got something to talk about, and Wen Zac too liked to tell her about Lu Qiang.
"Would you like to know how good and kind he was or something that you can’t imagine?"
"The later one," she replied, "I know his good side already."
"Before telling you about him, you should know the disclaimer," he instructed.
It puzzled her, "Disclaimer?"
"You should not think this man in front of you tried to spoil the good man," Wen Zac replied.
Lu Lian was sure there would be something exciting and smiled, "I won’t think anything."
Ming Rusheng, who sat away from them, could see how relaxed the two were, and they smiled too as if they enjoyed the talk. Instead of the woman in front of him, his sight would follow what the other two were doing.
"Mr. Ming," the woman in front of him called.
Ming Rusheng looked at her, and she asked, "Is Mr. Ming busy thinking about something?" she could see Ming Rusheng was not attentive to her.
"Sorry, it’s nothing," and he acted to be attentive. She talked, and all Ming Rusheng did was to humm to whatever she said and replied in between in one or two words.
Wen Zac continued telling Lu Lian about Lu Qiang, as they enjoyed the wine and tasty food.
"Your brother was a saint, but I didn’t want him to be one. Whenever he came to the USA, he would come to meet me. I took him to pubs and made him drink though he couldn’t handle it. I tried to hook him up with the girls, but he was successful in failing my plans."
"Because he had someone he loved," Lu Lian added.
Wen Zac nodded, "I know. He used to talk about her whenever he was drunk. He always said how she left and never returned and how he missed her."
The two knew who they were talking about.
"But once she was back, he forgot his friend," Wen Zac said, smiling pleasantly.
"He was happy," she said.
"More than we can even imagine," Wen Zac added, "And I was happy for him too."
As the atmosphere turned silent, Wen Zac said, "Once I dragged him to the nightclub...umm...." Wen Zac felt hesitant for a moment.
"It’s fine," she said, feeling excited to know more.

"What?" she exclaimed in a low voice. She was not shocked about the strip club, but Lu Qiang going to such a place was surprising for her.
Wen Zac nodded, and she asked, "Then?"
"I have to look after him so he wouldn’t run away and force him to see everything whenever he looked away. It was fun," Wen Zac explained.
Imagining it made Lu Lian giggle, and she forgot she was on a blind date and how hesitant she was a while ago.
Ming Rusheng saw her laughing at what Wen Zac said. Though he couldn’t hear what they were talking about, Lu Lian laughing with another man turned him feel bitter; that alcohol he was drinking didn’t feel bitter anymore.
After their arguments days back when he hurt her, she never talked to him about anything other than work, didn’t even look at him, and smiling didn’t even exist. It looked like she was just waiting to leave Ming Industries once the project was over.
"Then?" she asked again.
"So many girls tried to approach him, but our guy was difficult to sway away even when he was drunk," Wen Zan answered.
"And what about Mr. Wen?" she asked.
Wen Zac didn’t expect her to ask about him, and it startled him.
He cleared his throat, "Well... I was not a saint like him."
She smiled at it and thought it was not a bad idea to meet him. She got to know about her brother and had a nice time. She realized, she smiled after so long.
"But, now I’m saint," he added, smiling lightly and sipping on the drink.
She smiled back, "Good to know it."
When these two were busy smiling, the third person sitting away didn’t feel good about it.
